Harlikwin Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 So, It happened once, and I thought, ok freak accident. It happened again... So now I'm gonna post and ask Flying along online, both times try to switch to f10 map. Reverb stalls and blacks out. Monitor window continues working, Reverb now acts as world worst TrackIR impression. Land/crash few minutes later. Reset DCS. Reverb works. Anyone else seeing this? speed-of-heat Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 A couple of times I have seen this it’s a steam/wmr crash, usually fixed by upgrading drivers or steam or wmr for steam SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
Motomouse Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Possible first sign of cable defect, I lost my Reverb soon after. HP replaced the headset and I am up in the VR air again. Do you move your body/head postion when you hit F10 on the keyboard or do you just press a button on your HOTAS without moving. If the blackout is during moving it is probably a hardware problem. Adam Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I'm having the screen blackout when going to F10 too on a multiplayer server. I think it's going to crash the game, and then what feels like an eternity, the F10 screen comes on. Unlike you though - the reverb comes back again. (Reverb with a 2080, 10900K and 64GB of RAM all on SSD)

(Reverb with a 2080, 10900K and 64GB of RAM all on SSD) Yeah its online, with F10, and its suuper slow. And IIRC the frametimes went to crap as well. But the on screen window enabled me to "land". I hit it on the keybd. I've had the cable fail before on an earlier headset, this seems different. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. Harlikwin Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 A couple of times I have seen this it’s a steam/wmr crash, usually fixed by upgrading drivers or steam or wmr for steam Weird, cuz neither one crashed, nothing "crashed" outright, DCS worked, Head tracking worked, just no image in the headset. The moment I quit out of DCS and restarted WMR it all worked fine. I'm up-to-date on drivers. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. Woody01 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Yes this is happening too me a lot! It seems way worse when I plug the headset in the USB on the motherboard, if I run it through the powered USB hub its not as bad. I thought it was just part of my borked Reverb dying but seeing this thread now I'm not so sure... The Flying Kiwis - Since ages ago... Find us at https://www.simcentral.co.nz
Harlikwin Posted October 4, 2020 Author Posted October 4, 2020 Weird. I guess it might be power related. But my mobo has really stable power on it.
