If you slave your TGP with HMCS, it seems like the movement of the helmet gets carried over to the TGP, and TGP wont ground stabilize.

Is this a bug or working as intended? It makes it quite hard to point exactly where I want it to.

Heres a video showing the problem, anyone else getting this issue?

Edit:

Found a workaround: You actually dont need to set your HMCS as SOI to slave your TGP using DMS right long.

So set your TGP as SOI, then DMS right long to slew with helmet, then quickly move your TDC cursor, and the TGP will achieve ground stab.

Try slewing the “TDC” slightly off the crosshair of the HMCS and then DMS right long to slave the TGP. It works as desired, without getting “drift” of the TGP. It’s how Wags did it and explained in his video. It got me a couple times, until another member highlighted that missing step that I was neglecting to perform.

Try the way above as well, it’s less workload and higher probability of slewing where you want. I tried your way initially, before the other member assisted me. Maybe it works better for you, maybe not - but worth a try. My .02

HMCS DMS Right Long ceases function

After a while of flying, my DMS Right long to move TPOD to HMCS boresight stops working, and the TPOD keeps going to a random fixed location. I tried STBY and AG'ing the pod to reset, but no luck. Happens about halfway through the track, you can see me looking around trying to find out where my TPOD goes when I DMS R long. This track also contains the bug where the TMS R short to make a mark point is no longer centered on bore, it appears to go to a random location near HMCS bore. (Already reported, might be related to aircraft bank?) I found this bug because I had planned to TMS R short, TMS R long, and then china hat forward long to bypass the DMS R long not working :joystick:

Track file was too big for here, so here's a link to my google drive where I uploaded it
