[NOCHG] White Canopy under certain sun conditions

Could that be the new fogging up effect they implemented for the canopy? If so, you need to defog. :)

This is how mine started to fog up at around 25,000 ft:

If thats the case its absolutely strange and poorly implemented cause it fogs immediately when you roll or turn your aircrafts, always the side contrary to the sun.

I’m pretty sure it’s just trying to show how the opposite side would reflect more like the canopy reflections, I’m sure it’ll look better eventually, it’s still WIP

the visual effect is limited to ED's graphic engine

I know we can remove this effect with a mod, but it results in IC not passing through. Now I know MP is aimed toward equality with IC check, but in this case, all canopies on all planes should turn white under the same conditions and I clearly can't find any other plane that does this to the extent JF17 does it. Cause you know, because of ED's graphic engine limitation, the best player's eye already has only about 60% vision, I see it as a very poor decision to damp it down even further.

Agreed. I love the idea of having to deal with defogging, but given engine limitations and balance against other modules it's simply way too early to implement such a feature. It just doesn't seem to work well (for me). I'm loving this module, and can only applaud Deka's skill and attention to detail. But the fogging is not for me right now!

You mention a mod to remove the effect. Can you point me to it please? I couldn't find anything in User Files other than one that removes baked reflections.
