Flying at night the TGP in WHOT or BHOT will be completely washed out by JTAC smoke.

This bug is old. Try setting chimney smoke to 0, remove metashaders and fxo folders. Even though you do this and it works the problem might be back the next time you start DCS.

 

This bug won’t show up on a track file as its a graphics bug.

I already noticed that when the F16 MAV was released... The TGP on the A10C and the F16 does that

I've noticed this as well and wasn't sure if it was intentional or not, thinking that a very "hot" spot would wash out the rest of the "FLIR" image.

I noticed this big time in this mission that Sedlo updated for the A10II.

It was so bad that I couldn't use WHOT or BHOT and had to use the regular CCTV(? cant recall what it's actually called) to find the few BTRs that were the targets.

 

update: Deleting fxo and metashaders seems to have helped the issue. I'll update again if anything changes.

Long and how bug.

 

Each time I start DCS, I test the FLIR with the attached mission (radio - F10 - F2)

 

If the bug is present, I restart DCS. If still there, I restart but also erase fxo and metashader2 folders.
