raelias Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 So after the first furball on M12, after the fuel check I inform Knight we are Tiger, he then directs me to engage pair of tomcats on bulls 330 for something I guess 80, there are no aircraft there whatsoever, no rwr or anything, after a brief search of the are I decided to return to my assinged anchor point. There was an 14 RWR before the first engagement, maybe they RTBed I don't know... So anyways I stay on station for an extra 30 mins to Joker fuel at which point I RTB with no words from knight, after I landed there was no mission compleated message, but the campaing advanced with an 80% success Also on the recovery my wingman stayed on my left wing on reagular formation and did not kiss off on upwind leg even with all correct communications and case I procedures Win10 64, MSI Krait Gaming Z370, I7 8700K, Geforce 1080Ti FTW3 ,32 GB Ram, Samsung 980 EVO SSD Modules: Combind Arms, A-10C, F-86F, F/A-18, F-16, Flaming Cliffs, KA-50, L-39, P-51, UH-1, Christen Eagle II, Persian Gulf

Then I just found your post relating exactly the same thing that happened to me!! lol :megalol: Nothing to add. Only that I requested for a picture before RTB and there was no AWACS available. Maybe something is not scripted right if reported tiger. Here's what happened to me the tomcats engaged me with Phoenixes, and then bugged out, I was then told to break right and evade. But just to be on safe side @ThatSillyGinge: did he Tomcats shoot Phoenixes at you and they ran or just didn't engage at all? Basilisk Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Is there a way to save the Mirages? They both survived the first engagement and downed several bandits, but when I was told to commit after declaring "tiger", the Mirages tried to attack the Tomcats too and were both shot down. Was it planned that way, or did I do something wrong, or was it an AI problem?

ThatSillyGinge Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 @baltic_dragon Previously, I would declare "Tiger" and then nothing really would happen - I'd get one update to the location of F14, but then that's it - no lockup, no missle launch, no further updates. I'd try and find the F14 on the radar, couldn't even find it - would then fly around until I ran out of fuel. On the other hand, my last playthrough I declared "Joker", within a few moments a missle launch was then declared, a bit of commentary about them being cowards, and then the option to RTB and conclude the mission. Please note, I'm playing on the latest stable version of DCS - I guess the changes you've made might only be on the latest open beta?

Ansirial Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 (edited) Me too had some troubles and after lot of retries only 2 times I managed to shot down main wave but then: 1. Tried joker, and almost nothing happens, F14 are really far away I think outside Phoenix range. So, after some loitering, I returned to carrier, then my wingman had some juice and returned alone over Iran where something happened and my two mates took off. (Here I think at least one Mig29 from the first wave escaped and survived). A lot of jumps in the water later... 2. Tried tiger, headed exactly to 335 for 70 from rock, I surpassed 335 for 70 at angels 35 (to avoid any Sam), and I feel in the middle of Iran, nearly being intercepted by a Mig29 but no trace of any F14 at all... At 335 for 75 come back at angel 26 (maybe something will be unlocked once SA fires?) nearly over the water I was targeted with 6 sams, I think from a SA6, so I elapsed my countermeasures and I returned to carrier, I tried to juice before land but something was bugged and I was not able to refuel. Landed with state 0,05... Literally fumes. Meanwhile over Iran my mate did some magic and unlocked my mates to take off... They were taking off while I was landing. I don't know, most difficult thing is unlock mission... I can accept if the mission is difficult to complete but I think something is bugged here or even not clear in the instruction from Knight. By the way until now experience was great! The campaign is impressively immersing, I hope you can help me understand what's wrong or fix this issue. Thanks a lot! Edited December 10, 2020 by Ansirial

DarkStar Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Experienced the same, went hunting for Tomcats well into Iran and even killed them with guns.
