I've updated the single player version and the external missiles patch with an updated A2A_Missiles.lua.

Based on the work I did for the Modern Missiles mod, I set out to improve the realism of the AMRAAM's contained in the F-22 Enhancement mod.

I'm very happy with how they've turned out.

For anyone that didn't know, the mod contains the following missiles.  I've listed max range next to them for comparison.

AIM-120A - 27 NM

AIM-120C-6 - 50 NM

AIM-120C-7 - 65 NM

AIM-120D - 92 NM

AIM-120D-2 120 NM

CATM-120C

AIM-9X2 - 22 NM

AIM-9X3 - 33 NM

CATM-9X

Most of these have been present for some time.  I have the performance of the AIM-120D and the version for the Modern Missiles mod working exactly the same.

The AIM-9X2 and 9X3 are no longer mountable on the external wing pylons.  The code was causing some errors/crashes.

Links in first post.

Updated Single Player and patch again with tweaks and corrections to the A2A_Missiles.lua file.  AIM-120D's have a burn duration of 13.5 seconds, roughly twice that of the 120C-7.  The additional burn time is the sustainer motor required to achieve the ranges the 120D can reach.  Under optimum circumstances the 120D can reach 100NM and the 120D-2 120NM.

Seems the base Grinelli F-22 mod doesn't work on OB 2.8.1.34667.  I've tried disabling all other mods, and running a repair.  I get a crash everytime I click fly on the cold start instant action.  I posted it on the Grinelli Discord, just seeing if anyone else gets the same thing.

The same version of the game. The Grinelli mod works fine.

Huh, thanks for the reply.  Weird that I can basically make the game vanilla, run a repair, and I get the same crash everytime.  That's with, or without applying the latest Single Player enhancement mod.

The Grinelli mod should not depend on the Nightstorm mod. These are separate things. In any case, that's how I have. You seem to have a conflict from some third-party mods. Try to find by successive elimination method.

I disabled all mods, ran a full repair, and only installed the F-22 mod.  Nothing else installed to create a conflict.  I still get a crash.  If I don't click 'Fly,' I can hit 'Escape' and look around in the cockpit, or outside view, but as soon as I unpause the game, crash.

Specify: Do you leave only the mod from Grinelli or from the Night Storm?

Just Grinelli.  I haven't tried adding Night Storm's mod until I get it running.

Have you tried recreating the new Saved Games folder? If not, backup the existing folder and try creating a new one.

So, I figured it out.  I have a Brunner CLS-E joystick.  I don't use the Brunner plug-in for force feedback, but apparently I had installed the script required to use it at some point.  The base Grinnelli F-22 mod doesn't like that script.  All is working now, appreciate the help/replies, and hopefully that helps out someone if they have the same issue I had.

You're welcome...

Well, narrowing it down to the script file was better than deleting my Saved Games folder and having to redo all of my bindings, but yes, thanks again.

Glad you got it sorted.

I did not suggest deleting it, but making a backup. Your searched script was, most likely, in this folder. We can't even guess what devices you have and what might cause the crash. The path, in the end, brought your thoughts to the right direction of the search for the cause. Good luck!)

Is there any way to get SimShaker working with this? It doesn’t have to be all options. Just a few would be nice.

Main Pit: i7 13700KF, RTX 4090, Pimax Crystal Super

Co-Pilot Pit: i7 11700K, RTX 3090, Pimax Crystal OG
