  1. My friend, I am sorry that it seems like I came across as presumptuous. Much can be lost in translation on an internet forum. That is not my attitude or belief at all, and I am sorry you see it that way. I am very grateful for the SR-71 mod. I guess I was just trying to say that it is so good, so close to being perfect, that it could be there if it just got a little more attention. For a free mod it is very high quality and I fly it alot. Regarding the cockpit update, I did see on another forum that the creator was working on a new cockpit, however I have not seen that it has been posted anywhere since his update in 2021. Thank you,
  2. Was this ever released, or are there any options for a Concorde model in DCS?
  3. Is this not working anymore on the latest version of DCS?
  4. This mod seriously messed up my DCS. It overwrote the files and now I can't open DCS (it crashes on startup)
  5. I dont know how I didnt get notified about your reply, but thank you. I am trying this now.
  6. The SR-71 free module is the best SR-71 module we have available and to be honest it's not bad. Of course, it doesn't have a cockpit. Or a decent flight model. And it's missing all the cool details that you find in a decently high-fidelity aircraft. But the 3D model of the aircraft is good, and it's symmetrically and aesthetically pleasing. Now, Im just a graphic designer by trade, but the one thing this mod could REALLY benefit from right now is a proper visual afterburner model. Currently the torches just look like 2D yellow cones coming out the back. Would it be a difficult task to modify these afterburners to match some of the other higher fidelity aircraft modules we have available for DCS? I know nothing about modelling, just some basic skinning experience. Thoughts?
  7. How difficult would it be to improve the afterburner effect on this SR71 module? Everything looks great until you light the burner and orange triangles come out. Having a proper looking afterburner effect would really improve the immersion of this module imo.
  8. The 3D model itself is actually pretty close. It's the details, flight model, visual effects (afterburner, etc) that are lacking. Oh, and it's lacking a cockpit lol. But man if we could pump some fidelity into this thing, it would be a ton of fun. It's already fun to fly. I would be willing to help in any way I could, but Im more of a graphic designer type don't know much about modeling. If it was higher fidelity it would certainly be a popular mod. After all, it's the Blackbird.
  9. Man I just wanted to say you've done an incredible job on this F-22.  It looks so killer.  Hopefully we will continue to see it updated in the future.

  10. Love this mod, needs some iridium cockpit glass on the external views for maximum immersion IMO
  11. I have been having so much fun with this super hornet. The only two very minor complaints I see is that the wheels sink into runways when taking off/landing while the base F/A-18C does not do that. Also the afterburners look very 'orange' and I am respectfully wondering if there is any way to run the base style F/A-18C style afterburners. I realize this question might annoy someone, but I am new to DCS and am very into the visuals of this game. The super hornet looks great but the bright orange burners look a bit off to me. you have done a fantastic job on this mod man
  12. Is there a surefire way to tell that your mod has been installed properly?  Is there any visual cues/differences over Grinelli's F22 mod?  Thank you!!  awesome work

    1. Nightstorm

      Nightstorm

Yea, the cockpit displays are very different.  The original mod has an advertisement for the mod on the center display and nowhere near the features that I've added over time.

      And thanks.

  13. Does anybody else notice an un-natural vibration or shake when flying, like the plane is glitchy a bit
  14. Man I am so sorry to bring this up again but no matter what I try I still get the Jester AI when I launch the mission. I am attempting to use the trigger system to disable Jester but nothing I am doing seems to work. Any input here? Thanks
  15. When I try the three zero's, it just automatically defaults to 100000.
  16. Man I have tried everything here, but any time I start a mission after the setting the 'trigger' I can still hear Jester's voice back there lol. I watched the video above and he talks about how to silence Jester which Im not sure is the same as disabling him so I dont know if that will still break the track or not
  17. Thank you. Can you please tell me what condition I need to select? Thank you
  18. Thank you so much. I don't know much about the triggers in mission editor but I did watch some YT tutorials on how to generally set up triggers. But no matter what I have tried I still cannot disable Jester. Do you mind taking a look at my screenshot and telling me what I am missing? Thank you
  19. Thank you for the detailed reply. I did not realize that the tracks were never designed to be used as a replay, thank you for clarifying. How do I "not use" Jester? Do I understand correctly that If I just turn Jester off the track replay should be fixed? And this means I can get my landing recorded on the SC module with no bugs/glitches? I also tried flying my created mission in multiplayer, but the game loads but doesn't start. I can see the cockpit and everything but everything is paused and I can't 'play' the mission. I'm a bit tired but I look forward to re-reading your helpful reply tomorrow with fresh eyes. I look forward to continuing to learn DCS. Thanks
  20. I have dabbled with DCS off and on over the years but late last year I really got back into it and have been trying to play it more than ever. Im really impressed with how far the graphics have come in recent memory as well. With the right lighting conditions everything looks real, but I digress. Whenever I make a landing (carrier, land, etc), or shoot down a MiG, I go to watch replay mode (watch track), and nearly every time the jets just crash or fly straight into the water. All I want to do is get a good carrier landing on camera and make a short film for fun, but I find myself trying to capture the action in real time with different camera angles and obviously that is very difficult. I did make this video in real time and it's the best one I've made, but if I could just watch a correct replay I wouldn't have to worry about flying the plane and recording from different cameras all at the same time, and the sky would be the limit (no pun intended) What are guys doing to fix this? Is there a workaround? Thanks https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6fwt8zczHgQ
  21. Hi revs, thank you for the reply. Is there a YouTube video out there that can explain how to set up a quick instant action (like a takeoff from runway). I loaded a pre-made mission, like the TU51 taking off from Vegas. However I am not seeing a TU51 on a runway. In any event, I changed the plane to the A4E, saved the mission in the right folder. When I restart DCS, I am still not seeing a quick action option for the A4E and Nevada
  22. ....so I can have instant action missions for the A4E Skyhawk on the Nevada map. I am very new to DCS and rely on the instant action missions to get going. I purchased and installed the Nevada map but it doesnt look like there are any instant actions missions for the A4E on this map. Id just like the basics, like a cold start, take off from runway or already flying type deal. Is this difficult to set up? thank you
