Hi,

First of all, I Wanna thank ED for these last updates.

While watching Wags Last video HMD AG MODE. I realized that the HMD LOS is still missing in the HUD.

Natops FA18 ABCD states that " When the HMD is in normal mode a cross is displayed on the HUD at the reported HMD LOS. If the reported HMD LOS is outside the HUD FOV, the cross flashes at the HUD FOV limit." (SEE I-2-199)

Thanks.

That is only a two seat thing, that cross only shows up in a two seat hornet and represents the other seats helmet. There is no need to show you where you are pointing your own face...

I just saw this today, watching a wingman streaming his sortie on Discord. Should be there for you as well.

Seen on FiAF Hornets,

. No indication whether it's a C or D model, though. Someone claimed that it is an alignment indicator and should be overlaid with the one projected on the eye.

From a UX standpoint having an indicator for the other seat on the HUD and not the helmet makes little sense.

You are thinking of the DAC, the cross that appears in the HMD. This is something different.

It might have just been the HMD not fully blanking and I was seeing the cross hair / gate from the HMD and not the HMD LOS.
