Hi everyone, I've recently heard that Tomcats is doing a Eurofighter model. Problem is that he speaks German (not sure about his English) and I don't speak German. I was wondering if anyone who speaks both languages could contact him on the German forum:

http://www.lockonforum.de/thread.php?threadid=2648&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&sid=af525c50117538c9906c308590c3445f&page=7

And let the English speaking world know about the progress? I'm a huge fan, I've been following the progress only through screen shots however.

If anyone could do that it would be grand.

So... after studying the hole Thread i can say... "They work fast and kill problem after problem"

They canґt tell a release date... but theyґre looking forward to release it this year ;-) (he sayed he should be a speaker for black shark:-))

I think the status is good, they make both - the single and the double seater, now they playing with the skins but there are some problems. Some weapons are ready and tested successfully. The Typhoon will replace the SU-33. They have a nice Pilot which can play with his oxygen mask (take it on and off) and they said it will play with his hands in the cockpit (?)

It looks very good and i think you can fly it in the near future...

I have posted a Post ( ;-) ) in this thread to clear you question of the status - when someone answered i will post it in english for you here in this thread...

PS: Did you see the litle trailers of the typhoon model?

Greetings from Germany - Steve

Nice work there for Tomcatz! He made a lot of interesting 3D objects (hangars, ground objects) for LOFC and I must say I like his work. Let's hope his Typhoon will be magnificent too!

Yes, its very interesting how fast they work (everyone is annoying... when is it ready and so on) but i think they work very fast - nice to read how they solve the problems which appear during the process...

I think we will get a nice Typhoon...

That's great to hear. Yeah, I've seen their preview videos, the early models didn't look or feel right, but it's only gotten better. I could figure out from the pictures they've been posting that they've really been nutting it out with regards to the anatomy of the Eurofighter, and so they should, it's a beautiful bird.

Thanks so much for relaying the info Steve. Hope to hear more soon.

don't hold me to it, but Tomcatz had a flying typhoon with cockpit some time ago, I have it but never installed. I wonder if this is the one being updated now?

Hello,

Sorry for the radio silence- We haven`t much time and spent it all to the Typhoon-Project.

So yes- Since 6 month we created the hole project complete new. My old model looks a little bit ugly and the new ones are really great. Cola builded a complete new package with Eurofighter Typhoon, METEOR, IRIS-T, STORM SHADOW, ASRAM, FuelTanks and so on. My little job is to animate the models and create the wraping. Hunin makes the textures.

We was able to use both versions into one model so the user allways have the option if he wants to fly a single- or two seater.

The work is very powerfull and I hope, that we can release more Fighters in the future. Our biggest problem is time but well- we all have this every day:)

About the cockpit: Thistime it isn`t possible to create new cockpits. We was able to insert a new one, with all the analog Instruments but without HUD and MFD. I asked many people in the past about that problem but without any results. However- I hope we can use the MFD`s who are allready in the game if somebody can tell me the way to insert it into in new cockpit.

Here is the link to the film about some test flights:

However, I hope we can manage all the little problems we have and release it some day to the comunity.

My best wishes and greetings,

TOM

Hello Towcatz :D

Just 2 little questions ....

- there is a HUD for the back seat ?? or this is just the front seat that have been duplicated ? (i'm not expert on the Typhoon ... so maybee it's ok, but I am surprised and curious :))

- Which plane will be replaced by the typhoon ?

obviously, Great job and good "luck" to solve the problems

Hello,

Well, yes. The two seater have a HUD front and backside. Allthough the backseater can`t see forward he allways have the same dates as the pilot. It`s a good way for trainers and in combat. Both can split the work. Alltimes the backseater have a Infrarot picture and so he can see the same as the pilot.

We planed to replace the Su-33. There are enough stations for the weapons, have a strong radar and can fire Air to Ground weapons like the TAURUS. In a little private version for COLA I replaced the F-15. The cockpit is nearer as the russian Flanker cockpit but without enough stations.

So Thank you, for your wishes- we do our best :pilotfly:

Hi TOMCATZ, firstly I'd just like to say what a great looking addon you guys are doing, keep up the good work!

When you release ( soon I hope ) will it just be in German Luftwaffe livery? I ask as I would love to get an RAF version. If your not planning this I could have a go at it, with your permission.

However I should say I have never done any skinning before and it would be a very steep learning curve for me no doubt. I do however have a fair bit of time on my hands presently as I'm off work following a small op on my wrist so would like to keep my self occupied! :joystick:

Hello,

Thank you all- your posts sounds very good.

About the Su-27: well- the Typhoon is absolutly primary because it is an international teamwork and Cola or Hunin works very hard for the Typhoon. allthough I planed to make it better some day. However: right or wrong: Typhoon:) I hope, you can understand my position.

And yes: we plan to insert more Nations. For the Royal Air Force are many things to do. They use ASRAAM and StormShadow- other weapons as like as the Luftwaffe. And they have many beautiful symbols for their squads- I like it well.

But there are many things to do. We must isolate and kill thousands of little problem and some day we will release it :joystick:
