R-27R(E), Modern versions of AIM-7 (older used to fly in the radar beam until homing), R-40R (I believe), AIM-120, Meteor, MICA, Derby, R-77, PL-12, probably a bunch more than I'm not even remembering.

The mid-course update consists of target data. That's all it is. It says 'your target's at this point, this is his vector' and the missile will then calculate an intercept point.

If the targets angle off to the missiles head remains constant from the missiles axis point of view, its garanteed that it has an intercept course layed out. The missile only has to constantly adjust its surfaces to turn it in order to achieve this effect (lead, direct and lag posuit are possible depending on wich angle off the missile wants to settle the target in relation to the center of the seeker). I am not saying this is the only method they use. If AMRAAM has filters to counter evasion tactics it does need to know the 3D situation.

I would guess other methods are to be used in the final leg though.

What missile do use Data link or mid course guidance ( that we know of) and how are they compared to missiles we suspect or believe use mid course guidance?

The French now develop tactics for silent attack with OSF frontal optronics + Mica IR missile with datalink on Rafale. In fact Rafale F2 is operational with this combo.
