BoNidle Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 I have been dabbling with the Jug using the unofficial template by Warlord64 (big thanks to him for his efforts). "Sleepy Jean 3rd" of the 368thFG, 395thFS, 9th Air Force, is one of my favourite schemes for the P-47D. I did it for the original "IL2:46" sim, and then again recently for IL2's latest incarnation: "IL2 Great Battles", so it only seemed right that it should also find it's way into DCS. It should be up soon at User Files: P.s. If anyone knows how to keep the prop spinner painted once the engine starts up could you share the knowledge please? Cheers, Bo. 3 1
VH-Rock Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Stunning, Bo - Well done! Virtual Horsemen - Right Wing (P-51) - 2008... Virtual Ultimate Fighters - Lead (P-47) - 2020...
catchforusthefoxes Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 really good!!! pls make more lol
BoNidle Posted December 12, 2020 Author Posted December 12, 2020 Thanks Chaps, I have my eyes on some more but the official P-47D release is imminent so I'll wait and see if they release the official template with it.
Barrett_g Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 (edited) I’m wondering if you might do a few schemes from the 397th FS? Their standard scheme was the same except instead of the red flash on the cowl, they used blue. My favorite in particular is “Kwitcherbitchen 7th” with a letter code of D3-H. Here is a good example of the scheme from IL-2 1946: https://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads2&get=4920 Edited February 13, 2021 by Barrett_g
BoNidle Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 It is on my "to do list" and have done it for "IL2:46" back in the day.
Barrett_g Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 I’m so excited! Your attention to detail is second to none!
