kiss4luna Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 sorry for my English. what is casual mode? RTX 3070
kiss4luna Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Arcade mode or easy mode. of course it has Q: The public demonstrations at shows indicate that Black Shark looks already completed; why are you waiting until 2008 to launch? A: Black Shark can be played as either a serious study simulation or as a casual game. For those who wish to have the complexity of a serious study simulation, we need to create training lessons with voice-overs that guide the user through the complexities of the various systems, avionics, engines, weapons etc. This can be a very time-intensive process. We also need the time to write the manuals, create exciting missions and campaigns, fully de-bug the code, and get the product into the market place with proper marketing. 1 RTX 3070

Question: Since DCS takes it's inspiration from Lomac, will there actually be individual difficulty settings. Like say I want limited fuel, vulnerabilty and a realistic flight model, but I dont want to have to constantly fiddle with the AVRIS moving map and constantly adjust the inertial navigation, can I set those to a more arcade setting?

In your first OPTIONS screen, you can choose SIMULATOR or GAME. If you choose GAME, then you can fly as a typical Playstation/Xbox game. I am testing using a Saitek game controller. You can play as you would an Ace Combat game. No need to worry about start up procedures, clickable cockpit, ABRIS etc! However, you can then adjust all the settings if you wish, as suggested in your post. Having problems? crazysundog Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 ...or less relevant; depending on your point of view...
Bucic Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 ir... :P F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close

VMFA117_Poko Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Even with casual mode on DCS is totally different league. Again: totally!

Avimimus Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 It might be good to have this in the installer... remember the old Jane's sims? As part of the setup you chose one of two (or three) default configs.
ED Team Wags Posted June 6, 2008 ED Team Posted June 6, 2008 I will be doing a producer's note regarding the Game Modes. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
Vekkinho Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 IIRC, Black Shark @ MAKS2007 seemed very "noob friendly". Most of us here are noobs when it comes to helo simulator! So wasn't that a simplyfied Game mode! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
