Cherokee Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 Hey guys, I am needing help getting the Track IR correctly configured. I have read conflicting reprorts about mouse look and things. Any general help would be appreciated. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
S77th-konkussion Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 want a profile for it? Cherokee Posted December 27, 2004 Author Posted December 27, 2004 Thanks man, I got it running and all is working well. But I did need a good profile, thanks for posting. Richmond huh? East Tennesse here. Thanks again.
S77th-konkussion Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 You're welcome. I have a few buds in Tennesee. Just tweak that profile as you need- my Track unit is almost 3 ft away from the dot. If you are closer- you might want to shave off a bit of speed at each edit point. Naturally, the opposite applies to longer distance. Dmut Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Valery Blazhnov just posted on russian forums: LO 1.1 is supporting TIR+Vector 3D v4. bflagg Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Thanks man, I got it running and all is working well. But I did need a good profile, thanks for posting. Richmond huh? East Tennesse here. Thanks again. want mine? (trackIR 3 pro)... I set it so it's NOT too "quick -n- snappy" http://lockon.theflaggs.com/ in the files section at the bottom. Thanks, Brett
169th_Jaws Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Valery Blazhnov just posted on russian forums: LO 1.1 is supporting TIR+Vector 3D v4. So hang on. Does this mean all 6 degrees of movement? I thought there were issues with the textures? If this is true, I'm gonna have to upgrade my trackir 2... I CAN'T AFFORD THIS LOL! Just when you thought it was safe to go back over the water... Dmut Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 I'm not sure if pilots view point will be moveable, but at least "yaw" and "zoom" movement is supported in addition to old X-axis, Y-axis movements :) "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." Greenies Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Damn, I want one of those TrackIRs, but I can't afford both Flaming Cliffs and that expensive equipment. I tried to see what I would have to pay for TrackIR at a local dealer (here in Norway), and found out that the price is 10 times more than what I payed for LOMAC. I payed $34 for LOMAC, so what do you think? :? It would be much cheaper to order it from the American dealer, but I think I would have to pay taxes for importing it. I don't bother checking that out, I can't afford it anyway. I really like the idea that you can zoom in and out inside the cockpit. Really neat. I want to get away, I wanna fly away. Alfa Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Hi Greenies, That sounds really strange....10 times more than Lock-on?? I got my TrackIR 3 Pro from edimensional.com - I think the current price there is $129 . They ship from the UK, so no nasty surprise in terms of customs :) . Norge er tilknyttet EU´s told union .....ikke sandt? ;) Cheers, - JJ. JJ
ZoomBoy27 Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 I really like the idea that you can zoom in and out inside the cockpit. Really neat. It's excellent for looking around but the Vector version that does the zooming is not fully functional in LOMAC. Looking and padlocking - excellent Zooming in and out - not ZoomBoy My Flight Sims Page - Link to My Blog - Sims and Things - DCS Stuff++ - Up-to-Speed Guides to the old Lockon A10A and Su-25T - Some missions [needs update]

Greenies Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Norway is a part of the European Monetary Union (if that's what it's called), but I think the product bought has to have been produced in an EU country if I am to get the product shipped to me without paying that damn toll. It's not good enough that the company selling it to me is located in the UK or any other EU country. At least, that's what I believe. By the way, nice to read Danish on a russian web site :D I want to get away, I wanna fly away. Yeah, yeah, yeah! - Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away
AnzacPT Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 i´m in Portugal, bought mine from Edimensional.com and had no customs surprises. you WILL pay UK VAT though and the prices on their page are WITHOUT VAT. sooo... 100€+17% VAT (i think)...

It's not good enough that the company selling it to me is located in the UK or any other EU country. At least, that's what I believe. Well I am not too well versed in this sort of thing, but the customs union is basically the foundation on which the EU was founded. I checked up on it, and found that although there are some customs agreements between EFTA(of which Norway is a member) and the EU, it does not go to the extent of harmonisation found within the EU - in particular there is a difference in regards to the origin of goods, where Norway can determine its own customs for goods from "third party" countries ...e.g. the US, while this is fixed within the EU. So your description of the situation appears to be quite correct. By the way, nice to read Danish on a russian web site :D Hehe...just a little "inter-Scandianvian" salute :) Cheers, - JJ. JJ
Greenies Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Hi Greenies. You can TrackIR 3 +Expansionspack also purchase in norway or netherlands: http://www.pekogklikk.no/ShowVare.HTML?SKU=NPTI1 Cheers  Yes, that's the address where I found the horrible price. They want 2490 Norwegian kroner for it, and since there are 6,4 kroner in one American dollar, the price in dollars is only $389. A real bargain, in other words :) I think it would be cheaper to just order it from England, including tax and everything... but that will have to wait. First, I am buying Flaming Cliffs, and then I will see how much more pain my wallet can take :D To Anzac and Viper: Both Portugal and the Netherlands are a part of the EU, so that's why you didn't have to pay tax for it. Lucky bastards  I want to get away, I wanna fly away. Yeah, yeah, yeah! - Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away
