Tanuki44
For all my making (Huey cyclic, collective, rudder and Spitfire control column spad, throttle quadrant) I used MMJoy2 Firmware and Arduino Pro Micro and you ?
Zap921
That looks like it would be awesome if VR since you'd be looking down the barrel when you moved it around just like IRL.

hannibal
at 40 percent completion. going to do a up / down axis test later tonight Edited February 20, 2021 by hannibal 1 find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
hannibal
Checking XY axis. it works. also did a test in VR. IT WORKS. beyond amazing. much thanks to ED / TFC / Eagle Dynamics. this year's update to multiseat multiplayer VR doorgun function has made this possible, and allowed me finally pursue this fun build. 3 find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179

hannibal
it is exactly a month after the great update to the huey multicrew.. i think i will be done with my miniguns soon. this is my update! thank you again @PilotMi8 and @MatveyTsivinyuk to making the update possible.. 3 find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
hannibal
having slight setback.. using the arduino, i find that the potentioments become noisy. i tried using caps at the arduino analog input to ground.. going to rewire with a Leo Bodnar and see if it has better sensitivity. its amazing in VR, but the small jitters from the pots are perceiable in VR.. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Tanuki44
Apply a filter ? Personal, I replaced all the potentiometers by HALL sensors and with a x2 or x4 filter (with MMJOY) it is very stable.
hannibal
so far, the leo bodnar is working well. luckily i had a spare BU0386 board around. hoping to close up the build soon. what filter are you referring to? arduino code or passive components? @Tanuki44 Edited March 8, 2021 by hannibal find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Tanuki44
This is the filter integrated into the MMJOY firmware, adjustable for each axis up to 15 levels. I don't have more info on how it works, undoubtedly a smoothing of the peak on an average of values... He does the job well better than I can program him. hannibal
i trying to avoid using more 3rd party apps for control.. and plus, i cant have any deadzone. usually most ppl would set a bigger deadzone to eliminate center jitter. thanks for suggestion... ill try mmjoy on another arduino build.. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Tanuki44
Whether you flash your arduino code or the MMJOY code, it's the same... Your 'DoorGunner' will be recognized directly as a joystick in Windows / DCS. Not more 3rd party apps.
hannibal
i see... interesting. i always though mmjoy was a mapping program..didnt know it was actual firmware.. if i knew this 2 weeks ago... in any case, the bodnar board is working well. doing a shaker test later Edited March 8, 2021 by hannibal find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179

Gruman
Awesome stuff. Completly missed this project in this forum category. Glad I found the link via Reddit. Dont man the doorguns enough to build one myself, but the project idea is simply great. 1 Intel I9 10900k @5.1GHz | MSI MEG Z490 Unify | Corsair Vengeance 64GB - 3600MHz | EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 VPC T-50 Base /w Viper & Hornet Grip | VPC Rotor TCS Pro w/ Hawk-60 Grip | TM TPR LG C2 42" | Reverb G2 | TIR 5 | PointCtrl | OpenKneeboard

hannibal
since the default "payload release/missle launch" association did not give much kick in vibration from the default sound of this association, will need to play around with sound editors to custom make a sound file that gives the best kick to he 4x dayton pucks i have installed on this gatling beast... i need to follow instructions here and edit.. https://dreamsimteam.blogspot.com/p/simshaker-and-buttkicker.html find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
hannibal
i just used the "G+ feeling" wav and substituted for "payload release" in simshaker.. the Vibration..is MUCH BETTER.
