In my opinion it would be a bit more realistic if you spawn on an airfield or something and you actually see all the flyable planes on the parking slot without a slot selected from other players. For now you just see an empty airfield because no one selected a plane.

It can cause performance issues probably but the option in the ME would be great.

Welcome to the forums!

And +1, it would be something nice to have, like leaving client aircraft in an initially uncontrolled state if they're at the ramp (and not hot started, starting on the runway or starting in the air).

As for performance concerns; I'd rather have a slightly longer initially loading time, that small stutters when a new aircraft is spawned in.

Theer is a Script by @Hardcard that does just that: place static aircrafts on the client positions, that are removed when a client joins the game. I have not used it on a while, as I left the MP scene, but here is a video of how it used to work:

This has been requested many times over many years, I'd imagine ED have some core problem in the engine that's preventing them doing this.

I doubt that's the case it's probably more that it's doable but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the list of things to do.
