Would be great to have the ability to turn off AI "Christmas trees" (external lighting) when flying over enemy territory

 

(Or better, add an "Ingress/Egress" radio command to AI, but that's a wish for another section I guess)

The sub-options for this command could be:

 

SEARCH (for helicopter units) (ON or OFF checkbox)

STROBE (ON or OFF checkbox)

NAV lights (ON or OFF checkbox)

POS lights STROBE (ON or OFF checkbox)

FORMATION lights (ON or OFF checkbox)

LANDING lights (ON or OFF checkbox)

TAXI lights (ON or OFF checkbox)

ALL (ON or OFF checkbox disabling/enabling the other options)

 

That would be fantastic.

The default seems to have changed from always-christmastree to christmastree only over friendly airfields. A big improvement for sure... but...

 

I have a need to have a few specific units be always-christmastree for a few mission ideas.

Bump. This is a massive immersion killer for Helicopter operations. If I want troop transports to land and drop troops, not only do they land incredibly slowly, but they turn all the bloody lights on to do it!

I'd be happy with a "Force lights off" option in the waypoint options, or even just default the lights to off for any non-airfield approaches.
