EAGLE-Shifter Hi mate, go into your user folder on your C drive and make sure the folder are not hidden. For sure you should have a folder called "Saved Games", because if you do not have this folder, you won't be able to save / store your key bindings. So, do not store any skins/liveries or any other mods in your main game folder - this won't work. Easiest way is to show all files and folder in your file explorer options. Like this: Hope this helps. Cheerio Edited February 17, 2021 by THERION
PETER SHIFTY Posted February 17, 2021 Author Posted February 17, 2021 (edited) Hi, Thanks, I'll look into it, but i havent on "C" folder called "Saved Games", and on "D" disk the same. otherwise I bought: Normandy and Channel map, Spitfire P47 P51 L39 Yak 52 F-86Sabre Edited February 17, 2021 by PETER SHIFTY
Art-J Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Custom skins can be placed in 3 locations: 1) DCS\Coremods\WWII Units\ etc..... I never used that one, so I don't know if it always works or not; 2) DCS\Bazar\Liveries\(chosen airplane type) folder. I've always used it, though I prefer placing skins there by mod enabler, so I can turn them on and off easily; 3) C:\Users\[User name]\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\(chosen airplane folder). Never used that one, but it's officially recommended, so I guess it should always work as well. It seems that's exactly the location you've shown on your screenshot, but you use Czech (?) version of Windows, so you've got "Uložené hry" instead of "Saved Games". It shouldn't make a difference, though. Mind you, If "Liveries" folder does not exist there, you have to create it manually, the same applies to individual airplane sub-folders. Choose one of the methods (I'd go for No. 2 or 3) and stick with it. Other note - most of the custom skins can be selected in mission editor no matter which country the airplane is set to, but some skins can only be selected if country matches the skin, so maybe that's why you can't see them. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
