AstonMartinDBS Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) I've tried to assign the coordinates from an airfield (Gudauta) to a mark point (MK1) via HSI/DATA page, but that didn't work. Is it intended that mark point data isn't editable as it does with waypoints? Tholozor Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 Mark Points cannot be edited, and are only generated upon selection of the MK Option on the HSI. If you want to assign coordinates, use a waypoint. 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/

If you want to assign coordinates, use a waypoint. I wonder why not. Not that there is really any need for editing them, but they are pretty much just like waypoints except you can't put them in a Nav sequence. BTW, as I was checking this I noticed that 'WP REF' is not functional yet. You can box it but it doesn't work the way it's supposed to. Probably implemented later on.

Probably implemented later on.I think it works according to what ED's info says, as in it selects the current waypoint as the center reference point for the MGRS grid selector screen.I remember reading that it's supposed to actually allow you to select a WP to edit, without switching navigation to it, but I'll have to find the info again. REF WP works as described in NATOPS. Boxing it will mean the GRID selection will start at the reference waypoint rather than the current aircraft position. 1 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2

When you go to HSI > DATA and start scrolling through your waypoints, using arrows but you don't want your current active steerpoint to change, boxing REFWP would prevent that. It's a very useful function whether you only scroll through data blocks or change parameters or enter a new WPT. Especially having AP coupled to a steer point... 2

I've never heard of that, but perhaps you are right. I will say that REF WP only has one entry in NATOPS and its in regards to GRID entry. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
