Reflected Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 (edited) Enjoy! PS: If anyone could give me any advice how to do a wheel landing in a P-47 I'd appreciate that. It bounces unless I go for a 3 pointer. In others I can do it... Edited March 9, 2021 by Reflected 2 Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
cromhunt Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Maybe this video could be usefull? feel free to request more informations 1
Reflected Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Nice! I see you came in at 140 mph with about 21" for the wheel landnig. Somehow I still can't do it even using the same parameters... Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
cromhunt Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 (edited) It was very early tests:)the module before all patches. I wonder if i'm able to reproduce Will try it and back to you see you next:) Edited March 9, 2021 by cromhunt 1
cromhunt Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 New and recent video with the last DCS patch As you can see it's not perfect:) i'm not an expert. It could be better with a bit of practice. Parameters are same as the first video: speed around 140 mph PA around 21 Good game 1
Nealius Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 The Jug seems unreasonably bouncy for some reason. Even with a 3-point at very low desent rate (~50fps) it will bounce about 10' back into the air. It wasn't like this a few updates ago so I assume there's still some tweaking going on in the FM. 1
-0303- Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 It got the Corsair gear by mistake? Intel Core i7 3630QM @ 2.40GHz (Max Turbo Frequency 3.40 GHz) | 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz | 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M | 447GB KINGSTON SA400S37480G (SATA-2 (SSD))

I find the Anton the same. 20 year-old pilots in the day would never have survived it. ED should just clone the Mustang gear modeling for all warbirds of the same weight range - excluding maybe the Spit and 109. With due care, you can land the Mustang almost anywhere.

About 200fpm I have all warbirds in DCS i can tell that all are different even A-8 and D-9 feels different. I say one thing just learn to land it. Read manual note at what speed you do touch down in those birds you will not see bounce after that. So how much rudder (and perhaps aileron) deflection do you need per a bird, i.e. do you deem the amount of torque, as modelled, realistic? The DCS Mi-8MTV2. rayrayblues Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 The biggest issue that I I have is that the landing gear seems to be made of glass. I practice all the time and it's rare when I succeed without bending or breaking the gear. As for the Mustang, I can drop it on a dime and give you nine cents change. Very rare to bend or break the gear. SLAVA UKRAINI MoBo - ASUS 990FX R2 Sabertooth, CPU - AMD FX 9590 @4.7Gb.
