Hi @Frederf - found it thanks. Just back from a 2 hour navex between bases - as playing with navigation waypoints, flightplans etc to make things clearer in my noggin how to set flight plans/waypoints in the middle of an already established route. Up until your previous post and a bit of googling I didn't realise you could use the easy comms to actually change frequencies by using the F numbers. Previously I would toggle my comms switch, F5 for ATCs then look at the base/frequency I wanted to aim at and then still dial it in manually - so basically had managed to unwittingly develop a 'semi realistic' mode! As far as I can see realistic mode just adds another painful experience of having to refer to another kneepad/map or whatever to get the correct frequency. Sure it will become second nature in due course.

I found this main post after I already replied in an older but similar bug notice (links below).  So there are a few different posts on here that could probably be merged, or at least the others closed out for housekeeping and to reduce confusion of others trying to find an answer to this ongoing issue.

It is a bummer this is an ongoing issue as of 2.7.0.51180 Open Beta.  Looking through the known issues log, it does not appear to be receiving air time yet, at least publicly.

Three main issues at this time (as previous mentioned):

#1 - VHF preset tuner scrolls from 1 to 20 when incremented (both fore & aft VHF radios).  Sometimes it will allow you to click through one-by-one, but quickly reverts back to scrolling in the next attempt.

#2 - If a keyboard or joystick action is assigned, you can only shift between preset 1 and preset 2; even at that, action is buggy and takes multiple attempts.

#3 - (MOST IMPORTANT): Cannot define preset channels for VHF radio (both fore & aft VHF radios).

On a positive note, great job Eagle Dynamics Team!  This is an amazing simulator and it has been a pleasure to watch it grow from the early LOMAC days!  Thank you for all of your efforts over the years to bring such an awesome and an 'as close to real as we are going to get' experience as you have!

Think this depends on whether you go backwards or forwards from pre-set 1 or 20 (the 'ends' of the wheel). Left clicking the wheel will take you forward 1 channel, right clicking backwards 1 channel. So if you are on 1 and right click, you are in effect trying to go backwards to 20, which is why it spins all the way up. In a similar method, if on 20, and then left click - you are in fact selecting 1, so it spins all the way back down. So once off either 1 or 20, left or right will only change you 1 channel fwd or back, once you hit the ends it will spin if you go the 'wrong way'.

Track attached cycling fwd normally from 1, then back down to 1 then spinning the wheel by right clicking up to 20, and back again.

Hope that makes sense?

Yeah sorry. Took me a while to get my head round what was happening!

Not tried assigning keyboard/controller presses, but will have a play later.

That was the start of my thread as I have seen old posts on this but nothing lately. Of note - whilst not brilliant - it does seem to work 'better', but not brilliant mind, if you use channels 20 down, instead of 1 up.

I will give that a shot next mission...now that I know I can change channels!  🤩
