Thank you @Steinsch! Being a 1080ti owner, this comparison video is really to the point and handy for me :thumbup:

 

I'm actually surprised in how much better the 3080 performs as to the 1080ti. I mean, I expected the 3080 to perform better, but I didn't expect it to be 40 to 50 fps! 😮

 

 

You don't have a HMD lying around by any chance? 😬

I wonder how big the difference is on any of the modern HMD's (like the Reverb G2)

 

 

 

(not that it would help me much in the end, considering the 3080 shortage, waiting time and, above all, current pricing)

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

@Eaglewings Thanks! I remember when I was considering upgrading from my 3rd gen CPU and 1070. I could not find anything useful that could help me with the selection of new components. Got lots of advice at the time, but it wasn't backed by anything. Hopefully these videos will help more people to make more informed purchase decisions and make the most of their hardware in DCS.
