nickos86
Hi ED, seems like you really put an effort to academically research the HARM flight profiles! Good job! That would be awesome if you could share more info in this regard. P.S The increased number of flares seem to be a community request for around two years now Hope we'll see the same academic approach and research update prior to release. Seem to be a hard and demanding task... Keep the good job! Edited April 9, 2021 by nickos86
ED Team NineLine Posted April 9, 2021 ED Team Share Posted April 9, 2021 Updates to Hornet Flares are done internally, but sadly did not make the initial build of 2.7. Thanks. 1 2 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
nickos86
That's great news! Thanks! Seriously, I understand from the long time it took to create those flares that it far beyond changing a constant in the code. If possible - it would be great to learn about the challenges/ research/changes required even for a 'small' item such as a flare. This 'peeks behind the curtain' are very interesting and shade some light about the challenges of sim development.
Exorcet
I'm pretty glad to see the HARM update too. Even since the missile flight model was updated it felt so strange to watch it crawl onto targets at 500 knots. amalahama
Has the seeker logic changed as well? It's more realistically modelled in the F-

Thanks. While I am fine with waiting for them all that time: think you guys can make a feature on why that took so long? I mean, a workaround would have been to just punch up the number to 60, even if the external model may have been off etc... 1 i7 - 9700K | 32 GB DDR4 3200 | RTX 2080 | VKB Gunfighter Mk II /w MCG Pro | Virpil T-50CM2 Throttle | TrackIR 5 | VKB Mk. Ah, very sad. This announcment for me had a greater wow effect than the pictures of the new clouds. Still a great update to the Hornet.
