Replay Rewind, so we dont need to watch the tracks over and over again.

I would like to see a Rewind function in the replay section, now we need to watch the track over and over again to get good footage, if the track is really long it take ages to get the right footage, it would be nice if there is gonna be an rewind function in the replay section.

It may be working better than it was, but it still has issues.

As for rewind, I don't think that is possible without a fundamental rewrite. As I understand it, track files essentially 'play through' a mission, and consist of data on the initial situation, followed by user inputs. If that is all the data available, it simply isn't possible to 'rewind' to arbitrary points in the recording.

Its funny other games/simulators have these replay systems what works really perfectly without any issues. here in DCS it is damaged for ages.

I hope they will solve this one day..

I find this insane.   It should be possible to go back to a previous state in time, even if the rewind only rewound to a checkpoint at a 2 or 5 minute marker, where an exact state of the model was kept, and could be returned to, it would be better than nothing.

Even if we can't reverse the simulation inputs at least implement a feature where we can cut the track replay. We would still have to preemptively cut it before the desired scene but it would make multiple camera angle videos so much easier.

The guys making all of those incredible DCS videos must be very, very patient fellows!

Yes indeed! I’m amazed that they are able to make such nice productions without that ability. I thought maybe I had missed something and maybe it’s already possible but I guess not.

I can't say I make particularly good vidoes. But if I do a 30-40 minutes mission.

I have to rerun the replay 8-10 times to get various angles etc. And also just hope the replay doesn't bug out. Like my last video only 15 minutes long. Still the replay bugged out and the mig21 I shot down gets hit by a sidewinders and is missing a wing and on fire just continues to fly like nothing happend until it gets hit by my missing.

This seems to be a mig21 bug. As I've only experienced these flying zombie planes on fire with the mig21.

So 40 minutes of flying can easily be 4 hours of reruns. To get b-roll. Before the actual editing starts.

Thank you.

Yes. It seems the Kola map/dcs capture the long soft light you get at higer longitudes very well.
