For 1.2, I suppose.

Could we get the following weapons:

Mk-82AIR

Mk-83AIR

Mk-84AIR

CBU-87 Combined effects cluster bomb

CBU-97 Smart Submunitions weapon with more realistic modelling

AGM-65G With penetratror warhead, same guidance system as the D

AGM-65K modelled with the warhead of the G (they are converted G's I believe) and better modelled TV systems (it has a significant zoom capability AFAIK)

Some info on the Mavericks:

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/agm-65.htm

FAS is reasonably accurate when it comes to US equipment.

CBU-87 info:

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/dumb/index.html

CBU-97 info:

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/dumb/cbu-97.htm

It would be nice if we had to set height of burst for the CBU's on both US and Russian aircraft (thus we would need to know the abarometric altitude of the ground over the target)

Ah and ... the option to airburst the Mk-8x's

Not just the carriage/use of those weapons ... but different explosion graphics ... I'd love to see improved graphical modelling of FAEs, Naplam air busts etc!

The current blast shock wave just looks great!!!

If I remember correctly, the only way to get an Mk. 8x to airburst is to put a long probe at the front, i.e. a fuze extender. So when the probe hits the ground, the bomb goes off. Works well against dismounts, which aren't modeled in the game.

Good call, I liked that in EECH. However I don't think a 50 to 70 ton MBT will move much even with a 2000lb bomb. It should knock over trucks and blow jeeps away though :)

I also second the request for retarded bombs on the A-10. As far as CBUs go, I'm not sure if it's realistic to have sensor-fused submunitions on the early 90s A-10 in LOMAC (or are they independent from the carrier aircraft?), the same goes for adjustable burst-height or airburst (I think these were once mentioned as not being available on the Hog). I'd sure love the latter two though!

IMHO http://www.designation-systems.net is the best source for weapons data, the text seems more continous and doesn't repeat itself.

EDIT: anyone know what happened to the bug-fix list on the mainpage? I just remembered that some hit-effects on ground vehicles were mentioned but I can't find the list anymore.

I'm not sure about big tanks not being throw around ... ever seen pictures from Normandy 1944? Tigers/Panthers (56/43tons from memory) lying upside down? Naval gunfire and Lancasters ...

Yeah, but Naval gunfire is a great deal more devestating than an aerial bombardment. Source: an article about FAC's (Forward Air Controllers) in Vietnam. They liked it when Phantoms came in, but the Missouri (or whatever the name of the battleship was) surely out-devestated them. One flight of Phantoms could do as much damage as about 1 turret of the Missouri - each gun firing one round. Of course, a 400mm round is quite a big thing :p

But that's offtopic I'm afraid :(

Heh, what I want is an Advanced Physics Model for tanks and other ground units.

Drop a bomb near it and it moves, rather than sits there as 2000lbs of explosive goes off next to it . . . .

Maybe for Lomac 2 . . . . .

Thats a very good suggestion, in real life a tank will definately move if one of these lands next to it. The damage is very extensive. A direct hit will remove it from the earth. BTW a direct hit by a 155mm projectile from a SP gun will throw a centrion battle tank upside down(range 1500m). A 400mm will remove it off the face of the earth. SP guns are not designed to kill tanks but they can if they have to.

cheers

GGTharos, why no? even in 1.02 you'll get a damage from low-altitude bombing. isn't olaleier ask about that?

It's not modelled very well though yet AFAIK, Dmut. I could we wrong.
