fullcoupe Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) I noticed after updating to 2.7, with a new mission in the ME, I set 1x F-15C to PLAYER & ramp start, it starts me as a spectator (F10 view) instead of in control. Checked the module manager, FC3 is still activated. EDIT: What's strange is other FC3 birds are fine (tried the Su-27 and Su-33). The problem occurs in any F-15C mission - training, instant action, etc. Anyone else having this issue? draconus Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) Go to Module Manager and check for F-15C module disabled. Disregard if it's FC3 pack. If you have any mods that's the best time to uninstall. Try also removing DCS folder from AV scanning (including Windows Defender) and do a DCS repair/clean: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/repair/#2463807 Also your \saved games\dcs\logs\dcs.log will help us find any issue. fullcoupe Posted April 16, 2021 Author Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) Performed a repair/clean and still getting the same result. F-15C module is disabled in the module manager. I attached a log. The error seems to be: 2021-04-16 15:29:18.822 ERROR DCS: Invalid Unit Module: "F-15C" I will try removing mods next... dcs.log Edited April 16, 2021 by fullcoupe i7 9700k @ 4.9 GHz | Asus Z390-A | EVGA 1080Ti SC2 | Oculus Rift + Touch | TM HOTAS Warthog
draconus Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 Enable the module F-15C if you don't have FC3. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
fullcoupe Posted April 16, 2021 Author Posted April 16, 2021 I do have FC3, so I should leave it disabled correct? i7 9700k @ 4.9 GHz | Asus Z390-A | EVGA 1080Ti SC2 | Oculus Rift + Touch | TM HOTAS Warthog
draconus Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) Yes, you can even uninstall it since it's part of FC3, however you'll always have a notice in Module Manager that you can install it. But you still cannot fly the Eagle? AV software can be messing with module dlls. I don't use any AV, other than whatever Windows 10 provides. But it was never an issue before and I've been running the same DCS install for several years. Couldn't find any other info on the "Invalid Unit Module" around the forums. Maybe it's time for a fresh install... i7 9700k @ 4.9 GHz | Asus Z390-A | EVGA 1080Ti SC2 | Oculus Rift + Touch | TM HOTAS Warthog

Have you tried to rename the Saved Games\DCS folder? Then try selecting quick start mission for the F-15. If working you have something in the Saved Games\DCS folder that is interfering. 1

Guess I will gradually work backwards to find out what was causing it. Thanks for the tip! i7 9700k @ 4.9 GHz | Asus Z390-A | EVGA 1080Ti SC2 | Oculus Rift + Touch | TM HOTAS Warthog
