So CrashBG do not have the lines with the ATI

i wonder about you guys with ATI what are your settings to see vs CrashBG's settings

AA - Level 4x Box

AAA - Enabled - Quality

AF - 4x Samples

Catalyst AI disabled

Mipmap Detail LEvel - High Quality

I tried this to install with modman 7.2 and FC2. Some gauges ins SU-25 are HD, but some not. The HSI is not HD. Its the original one for instance?

 

Ainn't I supposed to just imnstall this with modman for FC2? It seems to work for most of you, but not (fully) for me? Did I miss something?

Windows 10, I7 8700k@5,15GHz, 32GB Ram, GTX1080, HOTAS Warthog, Oculus Rift CV1, Obutto R3volution, Buttkicker

I used the same settings and the line is still there. Barely visible, but there.

 

Ok i did some testing with the black line problem...

 

With any gfx setting whereby AA is enabled (any level) the line is always there...

 

If i force AA OFF then no line... but obviously that really looks like shit overall... :(

 

So it looks like some texture mismatch issue when AA is on... perhaps someone knows how to fix this? I dont think its the drivers because as we saw, quite a few ppl reported the line and i bet we all have different drivers (I havent updated mine since a long long time ago)...

 

any ideas guys?

You didn't miss anything. The Su-25 was not done by Ricardo and since it shares gauges with the Su-25T, some of them are HD and the rest of the pit is not. Maybe, if we are lucky enough Ricardo will find some time to complete the Su-25 pit. I know I keep on hinting to him :)

Of course, that 25 is the next project i have.

At the moment i have slightly changed the existing mod to fit the 6 dot but as soon as i will have some free time, i will work on it.:thumbup:

I have the lines even with AA off they are just less pronounced because without AA it is a broken line.

For the guys that have Nvidia and have some problems try this

 

 

-For SLI systems using 4x MS + 2x SLI SS ( SLIx8 ) is good

-Must use Split rendering SFR

-----------

CPU Multicore support = Multicore

Anicotropic filtering = 8x or x4

Antialiasing mode = override any apl. settings ( NOT Enhanced )

Antialiasing setting = 8x or x4

Antialiasing Transparency = OFF

Extension limit = OFF

Conformant texture clamp = Hardware

Maximum pre-rendered frames = 1 or 2 going for "4" will reduce FPS

Multi-GPU performance mode = Nvidia recomended.. ok for non SLI

Multi display/ mixed GPU acc = single display performance/ Multi display may give you more punch for some reason.

Power managment mode = prefer maximum performance

Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimisation = ON

Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias = clamp

Texture filtering - Quality = Performance ( or quality for strong systems with 1 GB + Vram video cards set at 1024 or set at 512 for lower Vram cards )

Texture filtering - Trilinear optimisation = ON

Force mip maps - Trilinear

Threaded optimization = ON

Triple buffering = ON

Vertical sync = ON

Video cards that do not have 1 GB of memory use only 512 not 1024

The line is about 1 pixel and when I look with trackir it is like it's inside the cockpit (like in 3d space). also it doesn't go all the way up the cockpit, at some point it stops.

I hope this pictures help, also if I can help you with other info just ask.

Your mod is really nice, it is too bad that this small detail disturbs it.

a couple of changes.

hud coolant is now in front of the blue hud bar (to fit with the 6dot)

pilot relection is ....russian style.:music_whistling:

and new maps and airport list on knees.

i also made my own rearm list with a beter readability.

Good stuff Ricardo!

 

Any news on the "Black Line Bug"? I certainly hope you can fix this as its by far the biggest issue with an otherwise great mod...

 

Also about the new payload options, doesnt that modify "rearm.lua" Id say not a good idea to add to the mod as this can be a critical file for Integrity Checks on some servers such as ours for example... just a thought...

yes, it changes the rearm.lua, and i think that there should be a "casher list"

for all the servers with an extended rearm.lua that would fit better with the needs of this game.

crunch, i still have to work a bit on other huds before the new version, but it will be soon on release.:thumbup:

Possibly in the patch, we have no idea, lets keep our fingers crossed!

 

but im thinking better safe than sorry since this is just an additional part of the mod that has nothing to do with cockpits at all... just a suggestion :) maybe include it as an "option"?

 

But anyway, for me the "line bug" is the deciding factor on this mod... ive tried everything so far, drivers, gfx settings, etc etc... :(

 

could it be because the textures are too high res? Ive seen such issues due to textures for other games...

 

Is it possible to make a slightly lover res "Medium" pack of the pits? would also be great for lower end PC users! :)

 

I know im asking too much to quickly but this is a great mod to give up on...

 

looking forward to the next release!

RICARDO, sorry to bother you again with this question, but will full Russian version be released as well? A lot of pilots on the Russian forums are asking these questions, any light on this subject would be great!

 

Seconded, i'd prefer the russian jets to have russian text too, even though i cannot understand the language i prefer the authenticity :)

I don't understand why there is that line problem, sorry, it doesn't happend on my computer and i am not able to solve this :cry:

about the russian mod, i have too much work at the moment to work on it.

maybe after summer, :D

I have a feeling its due to the size of the new textures... Is it possible for you to make a slightly lower res version of the mod? Mabe call it "Ricardo HD Medium Res" pack or something like that...

 

Tbh, i found the current one too high rez, and it would be nice to have something in a little smaller format... I guess its possible to extract the cdds and do it manually, but then im not sure how to pack it back into a new cdds file... It would also look alittle less "crisp" which IMO would make it more realistic...

 

Anyone knows how to do this? Extract from cdds files, perhaps reduce the textures into half of what they are now, then make a new cdds archive for the new reduced textures.... I have a feeling that might fix the line bug!
