rkk01 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 (edited) Was flying a training intruder mission on NTTR and my AI wingman landed and turned straight onto the first taxiway...! No rollout, just touchdown and turn right. Does the AI FM not have ANY momentum or other physics modelling??? I was speechless ETA - I was already pretty mad at my No 2, as the only damage to my own aircraft was from the other Anton Edited May 4, 2021 by rkk01
razo+r Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Well, a runway is pretty long. With your vague description, it's not very clear how long his landing distance was. Nonetheless AI has the SFM, so certain things are easier with it and do not behave like the FM for a human player. And the AI also doesn't care if you fly between him and his target. That is entirely your responsibility.
rkk01 Posted May 5, 2021 Author Posted May 5, 2021 Well, I didn’t see exactly which taxiway he turned off on... as I was expecting his roll out to come down to where I was... Looking at Tonopah on GE it was either 10-20m for the first taxiway of 300m for the second - I suspect the first!!! Either way, the Chucks Guide gives min landing roll as 380m - just about possible if he landed short
