So when did the placeholder for the UFC BU (Up Front Controller Back Up) page get taken away?

 

Just noticed in sim today, but not sure when it changed? See shot below and compare to manual. The 'placeholder' page has been there since release, until recently.

 

Does this mean the UFC BU isn't planned anymore? Although not a page that would be used alot, it's not nice to see features/systems getting removed in order to slim down the 'to-do' list. It's still on the published roadmap....

Same here . « UFC Bu missing after the 2.7 update » ... it's sad to see some systems being dropped without any word from Ed...

UFC BU was present on the 2020 Roadmap, just because the PB option is missing doesn't really mean much IMO. It was pretty low on the list.

If ED decided to drop the feature, an official communication would have been very welcome.

As of today it was mentioned in the patch notes. But, what does it do?

Note: the ADM-141A TALD requires further testing and is planned to be available in the next update. Work is also proceeding on the UFC-BU page, updating the flight model and flight control system, IAM Loft cues, and finaling the INS/GPS alignment system. We are focused on completing the Hornet roadmap.

It's a page you can put on the DDIs that allows basic backup UFC function. Useful for partial panel stuff...that's not modelled in DCS yet.
