lukeXIII Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 (edited) The engine DDI display is missing the H6.0 updates which adds a decimal to the engine RPMs and also adds the H20 weight. It also looks like there shouldn't be a "C" on the JPT under Fan RPM Source: 2011 A1-AV8B-NFM-000, 2.5.3 Engine DDI Display Edited August 17, 2021 by lukeXIII 1 1
Hornet81 Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Hi @lukeXIII, Thanks for the report. Yes, according to that manual seems that all this is missing. I am adding that to the bug trucker so they can have a look into this. 1
bkthunder Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 Quick question: why in DCS the OT time is never 0, even with a cold start? Windows 10 - Intel i7 7700K 4.2 Ghz (no OC) - Asus Strix GTX 1080 8Gb - 16GB DDR4 (3000 MHz) - SSD 500GB + WD Black FZEX 1TB 6Gb/s
Aernov Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 I think, life count and OT time in DCS are just random numbers to fill the space on ENG page. Maybe one day there will be life count dissipation varying with engine parameters, and OT time recording. And these numbers will be useful for approximating engine performance margin. One can dream.
bkthunder Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 I remember that it used to be possible to OT the engine and the count would go up, but now it seems I can leave it in full throttle all day long and nothing happens Windows 10 - Intel i7 7700K 4.2 Ghz (no OC) - Asus Strix GTX 1080 8Gb - 16GB DDR4 (3000 MHz) - SSD 500GB + WD Black FZEX 1TB 6Gb/s
lukeXIII Posted August 22, 2021 Author Posted August 22, 2021 The OverTemp function still works correctly. It does not activate until the temperature exceeds 820 C, which you would not normally see unless you turn the JPTL switch off or there is a JPTL failure. The engine count still doesn't change though.
AlphaJuliet Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Should be fixed, give me a heads up if not. Cheers, Alpha
