I was flying on an online open beta server I am always on. The Ka50 is flying just fine and all is well. I accidentally turn off the power to the Shkval. So the TV screen goes black, no problem. The issue is that the autopilot lights on the right-side Start flashing and the bird goes nuts. If you press any of the flashing AP lights they turn off but won't reactivate or turn back on. The FD and Alt HOLD will turns back on and stay lit. But, pitch, bank and heading are completely out. I can land without any issues but I no longer have any of the 3 main autopilot functions. Even if I turn the shkval back on. Am I missing something and it only has happened when I am online. Please help! But this does not happen when I am flying in single player or multi-player missions I created for my friends and I.

If you mean that you have turned of the K-041 switch than is is a big problem as this switch not just powers your Shkval and targeting system, but also your entire navigation and INS suite, which your AP depends on!

Thanks,  that about sums it up. Do you know why it would do it in just the one online server but not when I'm single player or hosting my own mission. I would like to make my settings sorta match that level of detail. As far as the aircraft handling. By the time I saw your reply I had disabled or unmapped that function from my control settings. This way if the button got hit by mistake I still had good cotrol of the aircraft.

There is no difference in aircraft behaviour between single and multiplayer.

HI. How did you "turned off" the SHKVAL? the lever on the lefthand side, close to the fuel cut off valves? AFAIK, there is no Shkval on/off control, but the K-041 for the entire navigation system and/or the generators (1 & 2) on the righthand side pannel, right off the bat1 lever that might turn off the screen...

You turn off the Shkval with the K-041 switch, but keep in mind that it not just turns off the targeting system, but also the navigation system of the aircraft. There is a backup mode for the navigation system on the right wall panel, which only powers the navigation system without powering on the targeting system (Shkval), but it is not intended for normal operational use. It's for ground crew checks and emergency operation. By intent, the Shkval stays powered on for the entire flight.

Thanks for the answer. It is what I was thinking...
