ED Team Yo-Yo Posted November 6, 2008 ED Team Posted November 6, 2008 Hush! Top secret... It's a code to get all planes flyable with AFM. After some math is applied to these digits. 1 Ніщо так сильно не ранить мозок, як уламки скла від розбитих рожевих окулярів There is nothing so hurtful for the brain as splinters of broken rose-coloured spectacles. Focha Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Mmm... I hope I get a new KA-50 bird that was not written... In the HUD... By a bored pilot who did not remember the laser code for that mission!!! Anyway I will put some soap and water close by... Just in case. LOL I hope that was written with a pencil instead of being scribed! XD Very funny thread, best regards. Guest paramike Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 OOHH I Know! It is simply a serial number written with an electric pen. That type of serial numbering is common Russian firearms, especially replacement parts- my ckc45 has it and i've seen it on others. Its the serial # of the aircraft or the part, I don't know.

mvsgas Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 If the KA-50 maintainers are like ours, it could be the HUD serial number. To avoid the need to removed the part to verify the serial number, you write it some where accessible. Specially on a test aircraft which, IIRC, the DCS model is based on. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
V1Rotate Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Transponder code? Flight Number/callsign? When you fly a lot in different aircraft on different days it is easy to forget the flight number/callsign and pilots often put this number scribbled down somewhere and placed in a prominent position.
