Hello, i'm wondering if you have used txt or other text type files for the tutorial, if you did users could use translators like altavista to translate to english to at least get the core of the tutorial ?

Flamming Cliffs is ARCADE game to compare with DCS

Imo half of the sim is similar to Lock On and thus not hard to learn. Flying the Shark is tricky but needs just a bit practice.

If you spend an hour reading, watching the notes and simply trying, you can easily take off full real and accomplish your first missions.

Discovering the full depth of the sim though will take a whole while longer.

There is 2.5gb of free english training video's availlable in the DL section that i suspect will get you in the air pretty quick.

And it is also said that the english manual will come out before the western release if everything goes according to plan. For now there is a translated one. little bit of "yoda" language though it is.

If you are really hardcore someone can record a walk through on various systems, covert that to a wave file, and drop it off in the radio station folder.

Then once you get airborne, tune your radio to the station and go through the instructions in the cockpit along with the training wav file being broadcast....

My problems seem mostly to do with stability, hovering and trimming. i understand that if i push the joystick in a direction and hit the T key this trims the heli in that direction..right? The problem with my saitek stick is that it also has the rudder inputs on the stick as a twisiting action..the question is if I have a stick input and also inadvertantly a twist [rudder] input and i push T will it trim both the cyclics and the rudder to that direction?

I know this is not supported by ED here yet but i am hoping for informal help from fellow BS's about this.

After two weeks no one [including admins] seems to know how to change my log email address to a more friendly username..anyone else tried to do this with success?

With only 23 posts, have you considered re-registering? The main reason I suggest this is because I question the wisdom of having your email address as your display name. That email address could be harvested and sold very easily. Lots of spam.
