cannot reproduce Engine Primer Audio in VR

Hi,

 

I use a reverb G2, when I use that if I open the window and ask the ground crew to start priming the engines they do so, but there's no audio acknowledgement of the order.

 

If I play in pancake, the ground crew audibly acknowledge the order.

no such issue with VivePro2, i clearly hear "copy"...

Check your audio settings. Sometimes the communications device can be set to something other than the headset you're currently using.

Same here for Oculus S.

 

The only time I have never heard a "copy" acknowledgement is if I have forgotten to open the window before asking for the prime to start.

I don't remember which airplane had the sound of priming (I think the 109) and when it ended the crew said "clear!" I wish hear something similar in the Mossie.

Thanks for the replies everyone, it's odd that I hear all the other aircraft audio in the headset, just not the ground crew - window is definitely open!

 

Does anyone know if there's a separate setting I may have missed somewhere that would send just the ground crew audio elsewhere?

One thing springs to mind though that happened tonight on a server.

 

I was messing around with the ground crew re-arm re-fuel menu and I asked them to alter the fuel level. Before they said re-fuel/re-arm complete I asked them to start priming and attempted to start an engine. It didn't start. They actually didn't start the prime until after the re-fuel etc was complete and they had acknowledged this, then the engines started no problem. Maybe they can't multi-task  but to be fair this is a realistic mechanic to have imho.

 

Anyway thought I would mention this here as you may have asked for re-fuel then prime as I did which possibly caused your issue?. There also seems to be a de-fuel bug where if you attempt to de-fuel more than the outer tanks (less than 75% reduction on the fuel contents slider) the mains never de-fuel, it just hangs and the only thing to do is to jump into another a/c as the de-fuel never ends, the gauges always show full on the mains and you are unable to get them to prime the engines (new bug report raised for this).
