I haven't had this issue before, but been stuck with it for a while, and its getting to the point where it frustrates me. Every time I plug in any USB device (mouse, joystick, pedals, trackir etc..) while DCS is running, it freezes and stays "Not Responding" indefinitely. Anyone have any idea what causes that, don't even know where to start troubleshooting.

confirmed in your log. silly question. what is your reason to unplug / plug anything after starting DCS? i quite frequently start DCS with speakers instead of headphones. i close DCS, change mode, and then restart DCS.

Many reasons, sometimes I forget to plug in a joystick or pedals. I also use separate wireless mouse next to joystick mounts that I need to plug to charge, when I want to spawn joysticks for different planes. Sometime I just need to plug in Track clip. It gets frustrating when you realize that after you sitting on a ramp after joining a server. Sometimes I kick the the cable off the pedals by accident and it causes DCS to crash.

If you really need to plug devices while DCS is launched, my advice won't help: disabling hotplug means you won't get crash anymore but you wlll have to restart DCS in order to detect devices you plug after the game has started.

Sometimes, these crashes are caused by USB hubs.

Do you have a mouse software installed, by the way? (Razer Synapse for instance) I'm wondering if that could cause a conflict for DCS when the mouse is plugged in. If so, you can try disablogn the mouse software and try again to plug ther mouse while ingame (with hotplug enbabled, of course).
