dotChuckles Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I noticed in the HDU video, that there were no options for left/right/both eye in VR. I am left eye dominant, and have degraded eyesight in my right eye. When I view stereoscopic images it's fine, as my left eye compensates. However if I'm only getting the image to the right eye it won't. Every other module has this and it works. Is this function just not done yet, or do you intent to release like that? Thanks dC 2 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
fabio.dangelo Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I also have the same problem! I hope they implement the ability to choose both (only then I can have a good view)
epoch Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 See here I'm almost blind in my right eye. Nobody from ED has, to my knowledge, confirmed that the render eye option will be available at release into early access. I did post the question - again - on today's video so hopefully they'll confirm. I think it'll be fine. The option is there on other aircraft despite not being realistic. Also I'm sure no company of Eagle Dynamics' calibre would blatantly discriminate against a subset of people, whilst making them be unable to play a game they've paid for, with no refund option! So I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.

epoch Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Someone has mistakenly moved this to the Wishlist section. This is not a wish. It's a requirement.
AlphaOneSix Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Wags has already said they plan to implement left, right, or both in VR. When that happens has not yet been established, but it has been officially noted as happening. 1
epoch Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 (edited) The fact that they plan to do something is fine. Great. Yay and all that. The question I am asking ED, quite specifically, is if it will be implemented when the Apache is released into early access. I underlined that because some people are missing the point. It just needs a yes or no answer. And if the answer's no then the next steps aren't for the forums. Edited November 4, 2021 by epoch
dotChuckles Posted November 3, 2021 Author Posted November 3, 2021 How do you contact a moderator to have this topic moved back? This is not a Wishlist item request, I am asking a question about a feature standard to other modules that doesn't appear in to be implemented. Could the mod that took the effort to move this to a low traffic part of the forum also take the effort to answer the question? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 4, 2021 ED Team Posted November 4, 2021 We have already said we are planning for left, right and both eyes. epoch Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Ok, sorry for the report - I thought that was the best way of getting in touch with someone in the team rather than PMing someone directly. But please mate, can we just have an answer to the question? We know the feature is 'planned' but the question is will it be present at release into early access? i.e. Day 1. We want to enjoy the Apache on day 1 just like every other player, and will be unable to do so (in VR) without this fundamental feature being present. It's not fun being half blind in real life, but it's a real pain in the air when people are shooting at you!
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 4, 2021 ED Team Posted November 4, 2021 I have said planned as it is not implemented in our dev version yet, it requires a lot of extra work and is tricky to do when the optimal and real position is the right eye. We are well aware of the need for it with some users who have sight challenges to overcome and its for this very reason we are planning to implement left, right and both eyes. 2 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
