DCS: F-16C Viper | HARM Targeting System Video

Has anyone seen any information about them expanding a map into western iraq or if we are getting a ECM pod for the viper? Both were featured in the newest Wags video and I just was curious if there was more info as I haven't found any in my searches.

Wags has mentioned in a youtube comment for one of the previous Apache videos that we are getting an eastward expansion of the Syria map, presumably a bit of the way into Iraq?

Interesting. Would make much more sense to have it be PG. Sigh... I really don't understand this company's decision making.

Perhaps both maps will merge later on? Don't forget the name-change of the Strait of Hormuz map happened for 2 reasons:
1. To accomodate the geographically-challenged part of the player base;
2. To allow for a future expansion into the entire region of the actual Persian Gulf.

Yeah, I think I heard something about the H3 airfields, which were a fairly important group of Iraqi airfields.

To be fair, there is the rest of Iraq missing on the PG/SoH map, you'd need to expand a lot further on the PG/SoH map to include the H3 airbases.

Though my main gripe with the PG map, from a historical perspective, is that it misses out pretty much every location of the more modern conflicts in the region, and for the area it does cover, there hasn't really been much involving air power and we don't have many suitable assets.

Hopefully, a world map has been in development for some time, and it would make sense to fill in the gaps of these 2 maps.

I doubt we'll see an expansion to the PG/SoH map until we see said world map API (if/when we see it), they have been fairly adament about it in the past, of course, subject to change though.

Iraq is big and its much closer to Syria than what we have in the PG map, but I agree having a good portion of Iraq (east), kuwait and north of Saudi Arabia would be nice, although that would be a big map for DCS standards.

Ugra Media, not ED, develops Syria. So really it had nothing to do with ED at all.
