Honest989 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 I remember some time back that they were talking about additional addons for the mod - the AH-64 was the one I remember most. Possibly the A-10 with new and improved flight physics and money back guarantee for pilots who crashed* These ideas still kicking about or have I entered the wrong seach strings? *May be a lie.
nemises Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 yep, very much so. the last we heard on the topic was about 4 or 5 months back?, WAGS announced the following modules are planned (not necesarily in order) for DCS: -A10C -AH64a -Mi24 -F16c -F15c -Mig29a -Su27 There is most defiantely a big post, it may even be a sticky.
Legolasindar Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 -A10C -A10A (this is incognita) -AH64a -Su27 -F15c -Mi24V -F16C -Mig29a [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Cavallers del Cel - Comunintat Catalana de Simulació http://www.cavallersdelcel.cat
Coolhnd1 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 I think they mentioned the next sim will be the A-10C. One of the threads here a short while back even showed some screens they've already done for their military version of the A-10C. -- CoolHand
-Nighthawk- Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 So pretty much re-doing the aircraft found in LOMAC, and yes the A-10 will definitely be the next model released.
masonator Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Man, I would love to see some non-combat-ish helicopters make that list. Like maybe the AH6/MH6 Little Bird, or Blackhawk, or MI-7! I'd love to drop troops off behind enemy lines with a ZSU just around the next corner...or sortie to deliver ammo to troops who are in contact and low on supplies. I'd also LOVE to see the AH-1Z. All pipe dreams, I know.
ED Team JimMack Posted November 27, 2008 ED Team Posted November 27, 2008 I remember some time back that they were talking about additional addons for the mod - the AH-64 was the one I remember most. Possibly the A-10 with new and improved flight physics and money back guarantee for pilots who crashed* These ideas still kicking about or have I entered the wrong seach strings? *May be a lie. Please note that additional aircraft/helos will not be add-ons in the traditional sense. If you wish to buy the A-10C as a stand-alone title, without having already bought Black Shark then you will be able to so. Having problems? Jester_159th Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 So does that mean you'll have the option to combine them into a single sim as well as use them as stand alone products? If so what impact will that have on multiplayer?
masonator Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 ...WAGS announced the following modules are planned (not necesarily in order) for DCS: -A10C -AH64a -Mi24 -F16c -F15c -Mig29a -Su27 So, given how long it took Black Shark to release, is it realistic to think that all of these aircraft will come out at some point?
Dr_Watson Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Would love to see any version of the A10 and Apache. Not bothered about any fast air though, keep it low and slow for now!
Maverick-GER- Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 So does that mean you'll have the option to combine them into a single sim as well as use them as stand alone products? If so what impact will that have on multiplayer? It was stated somewhere already that if you skip a module for example the a10, you can still fly online with other people, you just wont be able to fly the a-10 yourself. So a really great thing since you are not forced to buy every module just to keep playing online with your friends. Jester_159th Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Ah right thanks Maverick. I've not been able to follow all that's been mentioned over the past few months, so I must have missed that.
Acedy Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 So does that mean you'll have the option to combine them into a single sim as well as use them as stand alone products? If so what impact will that have on multiplayer? The core simulation part of DCS will be the same for all modules, in order to ensure MP compatibility. So if you do not want to buy each and every module you will still be able to update your DCS core to the latest version via updates/patches, only the number of flyables will depend on which module you buy. Jester_159th Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Sounds great Acedy. So we're looking at a very flexible product in the long term here. Great news!!
