Is there any way to change the default attack radar settings when I switch to an AIM120?

Edit: Nevermind, the option appears once you are airborne. Thanks for the help.

IIRC, you need to be in the A/A master mode. It works on the ground for me just fine.

Yes, it's a matter of being in AA master mode and also RWS mode specifically - it doesn't work in TWS. When they implement the AMU (mission card) one of these days you should be able to plug in the 3 set of Set parameters preflight.

Unfortunately not unless you make a mod.

Someone has made an awesome mod for the F-16 that lets you set all kind of presets called "DTC" but currently not for the Hornet. Hoping that one day some keen young dev gets the urge to make something similar.
