Try this out guys - extract the Config and MissionEditor folders to root install of DCS and allow merge/overwrite of files

I have created two new visibility settings within the options page of DCS -  'Ultimate' (x2 the draw distance of Extreme) and 'Insane' (4x the draw distance of Extreme)

The problem with object 'pop-in' was solved by increasing the Instancer buffer values in terrainoptions41.lua.

Hi, I could not find the mod anymore. Was it removed?

Also just came across this.

Keen to increase the draw distance for cities in Syria as it is currently extremely short (just load up the F-16 free flight and zoom into the city coming up in the beginning - hardly any buildings rendering there).

If not the full file, is it possible to paste here what lines needs to be updated? Does the changes have to be done in the main program folders or in the saved games folder?

Thanks 🙂

@Mustang

Are those the only two files need (as linked by HawaiianRyan?

There seems to be quite some optional stuff in the autoexec; also, the terrainoptions41.lua seems "old" (or too new; I'm still on 2.7) as they don't match quite significantly with the original file...

Maybe you could clear up what you changed to get higher view distance?

OpenXR-Switcher: to easily switch OpenXR runtimes as well as en-/disable API layers

Kneeboard-Picture-Viewer: my own take on a Kneeboard for a 2nd monitor, that acts more or less as a better picture viewer.

F-15CX mod: my own take on a simple F-15C upgrade

English Avionics with Native Betty: you can now have English HUD on non US planes and still hear the native Betty!
