Hobel Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 It is always noticeable that when we have a JF17 or more in our flight, they are sometimes not to be seen at all in the F16 Datalink. Does anyone have any idea why this might be or have you already made similar observations?

I don't know about the JF-17, but the F-16 is using the NATO Link-16 data link and I doubt that the JF-17 is using it too. It's probably using some other type of data link. Hobel Posted January 24, 2022 Author Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) I should have mentioned that this also happens even though awacs are(That is why sometimes) nearby. Other aircraft such as the viggen are displayed without any problems, some of which are simply not JF17. Edited January 24, 2022 by Hobel
Bunny Clark Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 I assume that Pakistani F-16s and JF-17s are capable of sharing data with one another. But Pakistan is not a NATO member, and are probably communicating using something other than Link 16 / MIDS. Since the DCS F-16 is a USAF model, not being able to communicate with a Pakistani aircraft is not particularly surprising. 1 Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign.
