Capn kamikaze Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Dropping these from a Tu-160, tried it at 5000ft and 22000ft, they then start spiralling all over the place, rolling inverted, then soon after crashing.
Flappie Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 For some reason I only reproduce this issue over Syria, but I see you have the issue over Caucasus. Could you please attach a track? ---
Capn kamikaze Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 (edited) Here's the track, the Tu-160 is towards the north east, and will start releasing them shortly after it makes a slight course correction. Kh65 spiral.trk Edited February 4, 2022 by Capn kamikaze
BrzI Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 I also have this issue in the Gulf Map. SCUD_test-E.miz
Flappie Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 The Kh-65 issue has been fixed internally. I'll see if your SCUD issue is fixed too. ---
Flappie Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 @BrzI I thought you were saying the SCUD missile was acting the same (because of the name of the mission) but I see there is not SCUD launcher in your mission. I checked your mission in our internal build and it works as it should. Wait for the next OB update: it will be fixed. ---
BrzI Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 (edited) Yes..sorry - it was confusing. SCUD was working fine. Looking forward to the Kh-65 update in the stable build. I removed the Beta - spent too much time looking at bugs at not enough time flying and enjoying the sim. Edited March 19, 2022 by BrzI
BrzI Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Hi folks, the behaviour of the Kh-65 has been fixed. Thank you. But there is another bug that has shown up. If a full Tu-160 loadout (12 missiles) is launched the missiles start overlapping as they suddenly randomly accelerate or slow down. There is no damage modelling (no biggie) but they should not overlap.. Thanks

BrzI Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Here is the .trk file. Three Tu-160 launch 12 Kh-65 each. Watch them leapfrog each other on their way to target.. The swans start West of Sochi. SAM_Duel.miz
Flappie Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 (edited) Ah, so this is how you do it. I thought you had found a way for a lone bomber to release 12 missiles at a time. Why don't you add some space between the bombers? Or simply ask them to release their missiles one bomber after the other? I'm not even sure missiles do "see" each other in real life. Edited April 15, 2022 by Flappie ---
BrzI Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 I think you are missing the point. Spacing between bombers is not required as there is no lateral flight path drift. The issue is that a single bomber will launch all 12 cruise missiles which will eventually end up overlapping. That should not happen imho. Thanks
Flappie Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 In your track, I see three bombers, next to each other, launching four missiles each. I didn't see one bomber launching 12 missiles. I tried to do this, but couldn't. If you can produce such a track, please do. ---
BrzI Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Here is the recording and the mission that it came from....3 swans launched a total of 36 cruise missiles. SAM_Duel.miz Kh-65 overlap .trk 1
Flappie Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Hi @BrzI. Although it is not mentioned in the changelog, the overlapping Kh-65 issue was fixed in today's OB. ---
