Playing on a MP server last night and my mate had his wing stub shot off his KA50 over a Sam site, the site was defended by man-pads, SA19 and 2x Shilkas, all these assets ignored him after he lost his pylon and he was able to kill them all at close range and clean them up and then move on to another active site, I think they considered him KIA, we know the site was still active with AI as it was still trying to engaging me in my KA50

yes, but not only AI, piloting a K50 lost the wing and the enemy didn't shoot me anymore. And that not happens only in K50. M2000 also in tacview I appeared as destroyed, but I was really flying and no other AI shoot at me.

The issue you're describing is a different one, which only happens in MP: client thinks the aircraft is still alive while server says it's dead (dead parrot short).

The issue was reported internally a few weeks ago. 👍

I can also report this bug happens with the Mi-24 when it loses a wing and the Gazelle when the co-pilot gets killed, all  bugs seen online in MP, unsure of SP

I dont really think this bug is linked to any specific aircraft or whether a part comes off an airframe or not. It all has to do with whether DCS considers that an aircraft was destroyed after taking a hit.
I have seen this sort of thing happen many times in various aircraft both single player or multi player. From my perspective flying, all is well. Sure the aircraft is damaged but its controllable & I go on to finish the mission / RTB. Its only when reviewing the TacView that I realize that DCS considered my aircraft destroyed. In the TacView my aircraft shows getting hit & the boxes (pieces) fall to the ground when in reality I continued to fly along.

IMO, ED needs to change it so that an aircraft is not officially destroyed until its "mortally" hit + Its altitude AGL & airspeed are zero.

Yes. This is a serious issue in MP. As an example, the A-10A can be "killed", become invisible to AI and continue flying and fighting while totally invisible to AI. F-5's continue fighting when dead as do Mig-21's and Hinds. All of which can continue to fight and kill AI and players alike. I am sure this affects nearly every module in the game. It is one of the worst issues in MP.

There's no point in discussing a bug in another bug's thread, especially when said thread is tagged 'reported' or 'reported earlier'.

If you want to report the MP bug (that I have experienced many times in the past), please open a new thread and attach a server track and a player track.

The point is the OP thought it was linked to the Ka50, my point was its non aircraft specific. Whether or not something is discussed elsewhere does not preclude it being discussed again in different context elsewhere.

It would seem, since this issue is well known and you admit that you know about it, that there would already be a bug thread and you would point us all to it.

I've known the MP issue long before I was a beta-tester. I do not only "admit" it, I deplore it, and as for many other bugs, I'd love this one to be squashed.

Now that I'm a beta-tester, I try to answer unanswered bug threads as fast as I can, one bug at a time, but the list is long. I'll add the MP dead-parrot-short bug to my long list, but I won't work on it right away because I have no tracks to start from.

That being said, if you have a short pair of MP tracks (server track + client track) showing the MP dead-parrot-short bug, and if you open a thread and attach them, I promise I'll do my best to send them to devs before the end of the week. In the meantime, I'll go back to my long todo-list.

Many thanks, @Hotdognz, I'm able to reproduce the issue with the Mi-24. I'll edit the Ka-50 report right away.

If you have a short track showing the same issue with the dead Gazelle copilot, please attach it here.

The track is rather long is there anyway to shorten them ??

Im happy to upload it to a google drive if you want it and want to watch it all, the Gazelle flight is at the end though im afraid.
