in fc and bs you generally don't need to select an axis; you just double click where you want it to be assigned and move the axis through it's full range of motion, so that the game recognizes and assigns it.

To make something clear for you T.Bone...

Most cougar users also use rudder pedals like these chpedals.jpg

Therefore there will be no rudder assigned to their cougar.

T.Bone - I've got a set, the guy was ill at the time but he managed to ship them to me in the UK. Good heavy metal pedals. A good match for my Cougar!

did you have to mod it, to get it to work with, your cougar, which ones did you go for?

And Thanks guys, will look into getting some,

Would also like to say, if i assign rudder left rudder right rudder to my cougar, it doesnt work anyways, got it on btn14 and btn12, tryd diffrent assignments, no good?, so it looks like i stick with the keyboard ZX rudder, or i invest in new set of peddles

Thanks for all your help

kind regards

Dont forget Ebay, you can find a pair on sale there every now and then. And they dont have to be USB. The older game pad style connector works just fine and they connect right up to the cougar. I use non-USB ones and modified them per the instructions at Cougar World for the brake pedals to be recognized.

Works great and have had them for years.

Good luck to you.

Worked with no fiddling at all, plugged into my Cougar ... I think it was the 'F-16s', that's what it has stamped on the right pedal.

must have been the F16/c pedals since they are made exclusively for the cougar..

those you can plug right into the cougar and everything works... other gameport rudders usually have to be modded to work with the cougar.

You are using my profil T.Bone, but my profile is for have physical rudders, no have rudders keys assigned in profile. If you like assign rudders keys in profile, you need assign rudderleft rudderright (not separated) in TMJ file where you like.

But if you use 12 and 14 BTN, you lose others functions, marked in bold.

BTN H2L /I WeaponsystemcontrolswitchManual/Auto

/O Weaponmodeswitch

BTN H2R /I Cannonrateoffiresetting

/O Cannonroundselectorswitch

if you like change, use this sintax (no forgotte include /H)

BTN H2L /I WeaponsystemcontrolswitchManual/Auto

/O /H Rudderleft

BTN H2R /I Cannonrateoffiresetting

/O /H Rudderright

My suggestion, buy rudders, fly any aircraft without rudders is dificult, fly Helos without rudders is absurd.

I Have CH Pro Pedals USB for years and is im very happy with this buy.

Sorry for my english.

I tryd that, but like i said befor, no matter what buttons you try to assign rudder left rudder right, on the hotas cougar, none work, in game, so im stuck with the keyboard rudder for now:(

You have incorrect keys in BS, or incorrect version drivers of Cougar, or others problems.

1- Go to BS and confirm you use default keys, you can load default keys in Options-Controls.

2- You confirm have lastest version of drivers for you cougar.

Last version are 3.HCO.2004 for drivers and 3.00.6 for Firmware for XP

3- NewInput.dll know bug, you need download new input file. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?...8&postcount=12

Thanks for all your help guys, more so Legolasindar, did all you said on your last post, and now it works fine, on the cougar:thumbup:, but i will invest in a set of rudder pedals....

I see a couple of guys are selling usb CH pedals, on ebay, will they be any good

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CH-Products-USB-Pro-Rudder-Pedals-for-flight-sim_W0QQitemZ160303569442QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_InputDevices_RL?hash=item160303569442&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

or i may go for the F16/c pedals since they are made exclusively for the cougar

regards
