I own all of the modules for DCS, and in the process of recording missions with each of them. I've identified that the replay system in DCS is working properly, in general, and that the problems with it not accurately recording missions is module specific. The AJS37 is one of those modules that I've never been able to properly use this system for.

I never really used the replay system before, but what is the issue specifically are you experiencing with the AJS replays?

The system is supposed to let you rewatch your previous flights. However, for certain aircraft, it doesn't reproduce accurate results. For example, if you takeoff and fly a circuit around the pattern land, you'll more likely see your recording showing you crash instead. That's the most common outcome. The problem is very specific to certain modules.

One known (and tracked) issue with the Viggen is that it doesn't handle custom cartridges well in the replay, because generally you don't have the same set of custom cartridge files on your hard drive as when the track was recorded.

For creating very simple scenes (e.g. F2, F3 views), in the past I helped myself stabilizing the aircraft using the autopilot right after lift off (or even before I sometimes used ATT) and flying the aircraft as much as possible using autopilot.
Anyway, this doesn't solve the many other problems that come up, e.g. when you want to show maneuvering or attacking ... unfortunately :sad_2:
