What to do when TPOD is pointing into nowhere?

So I get this issue often. For some reason, TPOD winds pointing to nowhere, and there is no caret pointer in TGP view as to where it is. TPOD wont re-center. Cycling STBY does not resolve. I try just holding down HOTAS in one axis then another, but TPOD never shows anything except grey. It is functionally very confusing.

Tms down should CZ the tgp pointing again to the last SPI I think.

Clicking SP, should snowplow the TGP to the velocity vector.

Someone with more knowledge will correct me if what I said was wrong.

Is there any way to make the TGP slewable or set him CZ for instance while staying in CCIP?

No, in visual attack modes the TGP backs up slant ranging.
