becomingwater Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Hello all. Couldn’t find anything on this. I try manual start up on F-16. I turn on battery then JFS then finger lift throttle and the engine doesn’t start. The fuel gauge reads 0. Any fix? Thanks.

Northstar98 Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 (edited) In DCS at least, you need to wait for until the SEC caution light to extinguish (at around 20% RPM) before moving the throttle to IDLE. Fuel gauge only displays fuel quantity once engine has started, and power is being drawn from the generator (make sure the main power switch is in MAIN PWR and not BATT). Carbon715 Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 the only gauges that will read accurately prior to generator coming online is Hydrazine, RPM, FTIT

When shutting down a Viper the AC gauges will stop functioning BUT will not go to zero but just stop updating. So the Fuel gauge should just remain in the position it is in when the Main gen drops offline... AC lies, DC dies. Edited February 14, 2022 by Bouli306
