Message: "The following DLCs are not authorized and will be disabled"

When I load the newly updated Open Beta I get the message attached below. When the game opens none of the standard incluced DLCs (like F15C, A10A or the new Marianas map) are present. Likewise Combined Arms is missing. Does anybody else have this issue and is there a solution?

Check the date & time of your computer, and also its time zone, as a time mismatch can cause this type of issue.

It might be a problem with connection to DCS server or what Rudel says - check twice.

Otherwise please upload \saved games\dcs openbeta\logs\dcs.log

obvious question but do you own those modules? If you do, highly suggest running a repair. If that doesnt help, next step would be to disable the module and uninstall them, then reinstall them.

The message includes the Mariana Islands map, which is free. So, while is true that probably some of the modules listed are on trial, I don't think that this woulc be the cause of the issue.

To me, it looked like a time mismatch .. I've seen many times that windows displays a correct time, but internally it's set to a wrong Time Zone, say New York instead of California.

I had this the other day after updating OB, to fix it I followed the FAQ on authorisation failure, step 2.2 did the trick for me

Well thanks to all for the help. I couldn't make anything work so I deleted the game. For some reason "uninstall.exe" wouldn't work either so I went through the drive snd deleted all the files. For whatever reason Open Beta is working fine now.

Like I wrote in the other thread. Put it in Saved Games, not core. AND if you actually have it in Saved Games, double check that it's NOT in the core too.

That's strange. Should be a grace period of three days of the authentication server is unreachable.

i play everyday on mp.

problem is, when they are on maintenance they won't allow you to log in.

can't even play offline

What maintenance day? Try to disconnect from the Internet and try again. You can also try to flush dns cache.

When i wrote on this topic, the dcs website was undergoing maintenance .

Both their main website and game api went "offline" for maintenance.

Still managed to "log in" as offline but without being able to access the credentials/drm/modules.
It seems as if there are "two modes"

Normally when you signed in last time and you lost internet, you can connect as offline with no problem, 3 days access to your planes/helos et-cetera. (which i find abusive, for many reasons <insert that old laptop traveling and playing argument here>)

During maintenance, the launcher detects that the server is down for maintenance, so it haven't done the "handshake" for the the DRM check this time, or "remember" your previous successful connection resolve.

For this mode, even unplugging the internet, CMD>IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS and/or restarting the computer after prompting the "maintenance mode" it knows you connected as offline and it remembers it failed the drm check because of "this mode" thus won't let you use your credentials to access your paid modules, nor steam nor website purchases. ( i run the website
version)

I had to wait for the maintenance to finish so i could log in normally.

i was playing a little after i wrote the first message when the game api came online ( alt tabbed to check the main website and it was no longer under maintenance)

Yeah, if you connect during maintenance, you get a three days grace period like @draconus wrote. So what probably happened was that when your grace period ended it coincided when ED had the DNS switch we were "warned" about. This should only be happening this one time, and it was a fluke for you I guess.
Is it fixed now?

yeah, i played a few hours before the maintenance just fine. i rarely play offline ( only when no internet because isp maintenance but that is rare)
so i never get to use the "3days ticket".
i got caught in the limbo because the last time i connected /played was successful.
a few hours later when i decided to come back and play a little more their services went offline for maintenance.

@BIGNEWYCan you confirm any of that "other mode" when server go into maintenance? I was sure the 3 days activation period always works.
