TGP and Markpoint offset

When creating a markpoint with a TGP (TMS UP), when trying to select same point again, it always has some offset, it never points to the same spot which was previously selected. It the same for all markpoints.

I found out that by mistake in some campaign I was doing it a couple of hours ago, and it was strange whats going on, I thought it might be because of some old file, who knows, not compatible any longer. So I did a simple mission. And its the same if I start how in the mid air, or if I start cold from the ramp, tested both, same result.

Before going back to your mark point, did you slew around while having a different steerpoint selected? Afaik you‘d have to CZ to remove any slew deltas. If i‘m not mistaken, the delta carries over to other steerpoint and only gets cleared with CZ

I'm running into this right now. If I want to create a markpoint on a SAM near steerpoint 4, and then make it the active steerpoint, is this the correct procedure:

1. Select SP 4. TGP moves to SP 4.

2. SOI the TGP and slew around to find target near SP 4.

3. Point track target.

4. Press ICP 7 for markpoints. TGP should be the active source. It should display the next markpoint. We'll say it's 26, because this is the first markpoint in the mission.

5. Press TMS up short. The target point should populate the DED coordinates.

6. Press M-SEL to make 26 the active steerpoint.

7. Press CZ to remove the cursor offset.

I do that and my TGP is still pointing to the wrong location.

As long as i know , you need to make a reset with the dobber switch, after the markpoint is saved after M-SEL.

Then TMS down twice, as long as the Tpod is SOI
