In this track (hopefully it will play correctly) you will see two things happening:

1) Requesting a repair with a steaming engine BEFORE it seized does nothing. Ground crew will say copy, but nothing happens, leaving you with an overheated engine, forcing you to respawn if you want a healthy aircraft.

2) Requesting a repair with a seized engine due to overheating does only repair the engine, but nothing more. Ground crew will leave the temps of the cooling system as-is, which leads to a seized engine pretty much after applying power.

In short: Having an overheated system forces you to respawn because you cannot be properly repaired.

I'll look into it. Somethings are changing in the cooling system area for Warbirds, so it may be changing soon.

If this patch is supposed to bring those changes, it is still not possible to repair your aircraft when the engine is boiling.

The newest patch make no mention of Spitfire at all.

Some vague info on cooling and damage on the P51, P47, 190 A and D, but nothing on the spitfire.

See the newsletter for more info.

Doesn't appear to be any further info on the Spit cooling system per the OP?

Cool. Now if you have a broken engine due to overheating, it will also cool down the cooling system after the repair.

Now it would be usefull if it would also consider cooling down the temps before the engine breaks. This way you don't have to break your engine on purpose to get a cooled down cooling system or respawn.
