Platy Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) Hi! After a long break from DCS and simulators in general I decided this morning to launch DCS again. I used to fly on the F/A-18 and F16. And in fact when I go check in my previous orders, I see that I purchased the F16, the Persian gulf and I also see the flaming cliffs pack which was gifted to me. unfortunately no F/A-18... When starting DCS I get a list of all the dlc's not authorized including the F/A-18 which I completely purchased. Again when setting up a mission in the mission editor I can't use the F/A-18 as a pilot. I saw that development was also handed to Belsimtek, could this be a reason to why I don't have it anymore? And what could I do to get it back? Thanks edit: and I do find the F/A-18 folder in the dcs openbeta files. Edited June 19, 2022 by Platy
Flappie Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 There is no Belsimtek entity anymore: Belsimtek devs are now part of Eagle Dyamics. Your issue is common, you should get it sorted quickly. First, please ensure your PC date and time are correct (see this thread). You might need to untick "Set time zone automatically" then select it manually. ---
Platy Posted June 19, 2022 Author Posted June 19, 2022 Time and date are correct. Still not authorized.
Flappie Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) OK, then. Try this: Go to your main DCS folder (default is "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\"). Go to Mods/tech Delete "CombinedAmrs" folder. Start DCS, go to the Module Manager, then reinstall Combined Arms. See if "Combined Arms" still appears in the Authorization popup. If it went away, it means you need to apply the same solution to other modules in error. Edited June 19, 2022 by Flappie ---

Your log says that the F/A 18 is effectively not authorized. Since you say that it also does not appear on your account purchases, I think that your only alternative is to open a support ticket: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/ Before opening it, make sure to check if you have it really purchased and was not just using it as a 2-week trial. So I tried to do that and it did disappear from the list when uninstalled but I'm not too sure on how to reinstall it tho. I can't find it in the module manager... 58 minutes ago, Rudel_chw said: Your log says that the F/A 18 is effectively not authorized. I will maybe do that if Flappie can't help any further. And yes, I did buy it 2 years ago. I remember it well since it was my first payware module! That's why it's strange that I can't see it on my order list...

Seems odd to me that a purchase wouldn't appear on your licenses page: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/licenses/ For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

So far, it sounds like you used two different accounts to purchase different modules. Log into the DCS website and see if all your modules belong to the same account. ---

I couldn't rly uninstall and re install since it thinks I don't have it... I will try to see if I can find some kind of proof... I do have multiple screenshots all taken on a period of 2 years so that kind of shows that it is not a trial. I don't know if I can find any bills of the purchase... 3 minutes ago, Flappie said: I agree with @Rudel_chw. So far, it sounds like you used two different accounts to purchase different modules. Because I only have one account all of my modules are on this account and I flew on the F/A-18 since 2020 on this account so I really don't know why it's not showing up in my order list... As I said I will try to provide you with some proof but I am not certain I can do that....

Solution Platy Posted June 20, 2022 Author Solution Posted June 20, 2022 So, I get back to you because we found the problem and it might be useful to someone else. Basically, the F/A-18 was purchased on steam and not on the the DCS World site. That might explain why it didn't appear on the order list. When I made the switch between the steam version and standalone, I had transferred the module. For some reason, it got unlinked. I still owned on steam though, so I managed to transfer it back to standalone and that worked (in the steam section in my profile). Thanks for the support you're awesome! 3 1
